DOLPHINS FLOUNDER, LOSE TO SAINTS ON THE ROAD
Miami, FL.- Drew Brees is known for being a truly elite quarterback, if after his 2012-13 campaign anybody questions that, they might want to look at this game. Anybody who thinks that Rob Ryan isn't a fantastic defensive coordinator might also want to look at this game. Drew Brees finshed the game a phenomonally efficient 22-27 for 277 yards and three TDs. Marques Colston had a dominant outing catching 7 balls while picking up 130 yards and finding the endzone once. The Dolphins offense scored once on a huge play, a 76 yard touchdown catch and run by Mike Wallace who spun out of one tackle and hurdled over Kenny Vaccaro on his way to paydirt. The other touchdown scored was by Armon Binns on a two-yard reception. Although running back Mike Gillislee averaged 9.3 yards per carry, head coach Joe Philbin, pretty much abandoned the run. The Dolphins pass defense was like swiss cheese, there were holes everywhere, and Brees zipped the ball through those holes. Marques Colston just utterly dominated Dolphins CB Brent Grimes the entire game. Dolphins LB Jelani Jenkins finished the game with 8 tackles, 3 for a loss, while helping to stuff Darren Sproles and the run game. Media: Mike Gillislee was running like a man possessed when he touched the ball, including 76 yards after the catch on his two screen plays taggged with his two catches over the middle, why wasn't he fed more? J.P.: I'll admit, it was my fault he didn't get more touches, but at the time, it seemed smarter to air it out. I was outcoached on the offensive side of the ball, Sean (Payton) and Drew (Brees) challenged me to have Ryan (Tannehill) throw the ball more, and because of it, we lost. You can't challenege Sean and Drew to pass, 9 times out of 10, you're going to lose that battle. Media: Your team only held the ball for 8:55, why was this? J.P.: Well, one reason was the big play, we scored on the first play of the drive with Mke Wallace on the terrific run after the short catch, I believe he caught it about 8 yards away from the LOS but he took it 76 yards for a TD. Another was that Drew wouldn't miss, so every completion, the clock kept running, and the more our defense got tired. Clock management will definitely be one of the things we focus on next week. Media: Next week, you face the Ravens, then have a bye week, what is the gameplan? J.P.: We're going full speed in practice all week. We're going to try and establish more of a run game, along with short, timing routes and try to get yards after the catch. One of our problems is that our receivers attempt to make a play before they secure the ball, so they drop it, we're going to work on fixing that this week and the bye week. http://dynasties.operationsports.com/css/osdyn.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

DOLPHINS IN TRADE TALKS WITH WASHINGTON REDSKINS
Miami, FL- The Miami Dolphins made splashes in the preseason when they traded away Cameron Wake, and traded for Tim Tebow and Henry Hynoski, ever since then though, all has been quiet in Miami. That is, until now of course, the Dolphins are reportedly in talks with the Washington Redskins over rookies LT Xavier Nixon, who just came off of the injured list, and TE Jordan Reed, who so far this season has recorded just two catches for 10 yards in four games. Both Nixon and Reed are rookies out of the University of Florida, Miami Dolphins Owner/GM is a fan of and makes it no secret he wants to acquire all of UFs young talent. Miami Dolphin Head Coach had one thing to say about the trade talks before practice, "I think both of them are two very bright young men with a bright future in this league. Xavier Nixon is a good talent, who I requested we trade for. I like Jonathan Martin, I really do, but even though he doesn't have many sacks given up, I think it's 3 or 4, he does get pushed around, which causes Ryan (Tannehill) to run off the line. I think Jordan Reed is added bonus, (Dustin) Keller is our guy at TE right now, Dion (Sims) is our #2, but acquiring Jordan would mean that all three of our options could catch the ball and be real receiving threats." |

DOLPHINS BEAT SB CHAMP RAVENS, IMPROVE TO 4-1
Miami, FL.- The Super Bowl Champion Ravens lost many pieces to free agency and trade this offseason, although replacing much of the talent, you cannot replace the intangibles that left with Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. The Miami Dolphins took advantage of this lack of leadership with a stellar performance in this Week 5 matchup. Ryan Tannehill was playing like a man absolutely possessed, throwing only one incompletion, he finished 16 of 17 with 199 yards and 2 TDs. Although most passes were dink and dump, when asked to throw downfield, once or twice, he was spot on, the only incompletion was by Mike Wallace, downfield, wide open. Dolphin head coach preached clock management and ball control last week, well, he got it alright. The complete passes along with Mike Gillislee averaging 5.3 yards per carry on 16 carries, Lamar Miller averaging 7.5 yards per carry on his two carries, and Ryan Tannehill rushing 6 times for 51 yards and a touchdown, the clock rarely stopped. On the defensive side of the ball, CB Brent Grimes made up for his horrific performance last week with a terrific performance this week, absolutely locking down Torrey Smith, who didn't catch a single ball all game. RB Ray Rice was on lockdown until he got injured, the reason Rice averaged 4.5 yard per carry was because of two 11 yard rushes to start the game, which means on his other three carries, he only had 3 yards. Dion Jordan continued to wreak havoc amongst QBs and RTs, racking up his 12 sack of the season. Media: Dion Jordan was considered a reach after you guys drafted him third overall in this past draft, now he is on pace to break the single season sack record, what do you say about that? J.P.: I say, that he has been a phenomonal performer, and he is a truly gifted football player. How anyone says that he is a reach is beyond my belief, he was a "situational pass rusher in college", that was Coach Kelly's choice, as his coach, I know that he wants to be out there on every play, and he is for us, and it's working out. Media: What do you have to say about the recent trade talks? J.P.: I've already said anything I have to say, there's nothing else needed to say. Media: Dustin Keller seems to have disappeared recently, being almost nonexistant in the pass game, what are your thoughts on taht? J.P.: He may have seemed to disappear, but that's because he is doing what we ask of him, and on a lot of plays, we ask that he help block, he has improved greatly, and he likes doing it, so we're sticking with what works. Media: Does this mean he won't be used to catch balls? J.P: He will be used however we want to use him. He can do it all, and do it all well, he'll do whatever we ask, he's a great player and a geat character, so we plan on using him all over the place. http://dynasties.operationsports.com/css/osdyn.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

DOLPHINS ACQUIRE TE REED AND LT NIXON FROM SKINS
Miami, FL.- Last week, reports surfaced that the Miami Dolphins were in talks with the Washington Redskins to acquire rookies TE Jordan Reed and LT Xavier Nixon. Those reports were later confirmed by Miami head coach Joe Philbin. The Miami Dolphins are now entering their bye week, giving the rookies a week to learn the offense to get playing time. In the trade, the Miami Dolphins traded Strong Safeties Reshad Jones and Kelcie McCray along with a 2015 fourth round pick to Washington in return for LT Xavier Nixon and TE Jordan Reed. Miami head coach Joe Philbin had this to say on the trade, "Reshad wanted to leave. He told us that a few weeks ago, we had been shopping around, but we kept why we were shopping him a secret, now everyone knows why, he requested a trade. This trade may seem like we are the big losers, but we cleared cap, got even younger, and this gives Baccari (Rambo) a chance to take the reigns as the starter. Jordan (Reed) is learning the plays now on only extra TE packages, as a second or third Tight End, in the slot, or in the backfield. Xavier (Nixon) is studying all plays, he might get in the game soon, but I'm not making any promises." Dolphins starting Halfback Mike Gillislee had these thoughts regarding the trade, "I think it's fantastic, I've played alongside Nixon and Reed, they're great guys, great talents, and it's gonna be an even more fun season now. I also like that Rambo can start now, I like Reshad too, but Rambo has more big play ability. I played agaisnt Rambo in college, he hits damn hard, he can make plays, it's going to be a great season." |

Re: Kings of the Deep Blue Sea- A Miami Dolphins CFM (Madden 25)
DOMINATION IS THE NAME OF THE GAME
Miami, FL.- Coming off of a bye week after a dominating performance over the Ravens, we would expect more of the same from the Miami Dolphins. That's exactly what happened, the Miami Dolphins crushed the Buffalo Bills 42-0. The game was over by halftime. At the start of the second quarter, it was 7-0, by the end of the second it was 28-0. That was when Miami Dolphin head coach Joe Philbin knew it was over, he put Tim Tebow on the field for the whole second half. Even though it was a dominating performance for the Dolphins, it wasn't a big numbers week for the QBs, but they were incredibly efficient. Efficiency has been the key for this offense, Ryab Tannehill hasn't had a turnover since Week 2, while Mike Gillislee hasn't had a fumble all season while averaging 7 yards per carry. Lamar Miller also had his first special teams touchdown this week on a 70 yard punt return. One reason the Dolphins won, tackling. One reason the Bills lost, tackling. The Bills couldn't finish any tackles, most plays needed two or three tacklers to finish the tackles. That was the main reason Lamar Miller had a 70 yard punt return touchdown, he got hit three or four times on that return but nobody wrapped up and finished, they were all attempts at arm tackles. Media: This was the first game all season, in which your pass rush didn't register a single sack, thoughts on this? J.P.: Yeah, we need to work on shedding our blockers, and getting to the quarterback. Dion (Jordan) and Everson (Griffen) got some pressure but that was it, there was no interior pressure or linebacker help there. Media: E.J. Manuel broke off a 37 yard rush against your defense, what do you have to say about this? J.P.: I'm going to watch the game film, and if I'm thinking correctly, that was a designed run, the three wideouts on that side all ran across the field and deep, while Scott Chandler ran to the right as a lead blocker, or at least that's what it seems. Media: You put Tim Tebow in for the entire second half, and he played phenomonally, perfectly executing the read option, speed option, and was 5-5 passing, does this make you consider starting him? J.P.: Not at all, no offense to Tim, but Ryan (Tannehill) is our starter, and there is no reason to bench Ryan. He has 10 touchdowns to 2 interceptions, along with the best QBR in the NFL right now. We're also 4-1, I could understand that question if we were 1-4 but come on, that's like asking Ron Rivera if he wants to bench Cam. http://dynasties.operationsports.com/css/osdyn.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
