Injury Report
R. Gronkowski/ Shoulder Tear (Out 2 Weeks)
M. Wallace/ Broken Thumb (Out 1 Week)
B. Grimes/ Broken Fibula (On IR)
Game Notes
Both teams will be without key players as Rob Gronkowski is still inactive with a shoulder injury and Brent Grimes was placed on injured reserve after last Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. While this game favors the New England Patriots much like last weeks game against the Cleveland Browns, stats don't determine the outcome of games. If the Miami Dolphins hope to upset the Patriots, they'll have to rely on their red zone defense in order to win.

You should definitely post them in the sliders forum! Is this on 360 or One? Just curious.

I would post them there, but my sliders aren't as refined as I'd like them to be. The running game is something that I can't get balanced yet. My running game is great while the CPU's is awful. I still might put them in the slider forum and make changes there as I go along in my CFM.

One of two things has happened in the past couple of games with the New England Patriots. Either the team has a very Jekyll and Hyde personality, or they are just choosing which games to play well in. New England fans definitely won't complain after a loss, despite the level of competition it came against.
The Miami Dolphins came into today's game with one of the leagues worst records. Like the Cleveland Browns the week before, Miami featured a lackluster offense and defense. Miami quickly showed how outmatched they were on the first possession of the game when receiver Rishard Matthews fumbled. The fumble was recovered by linebacker Jerod Mayo and from that point on, New England was in control of the game. The turnover led to a one yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady to fullback James Develin. New England scored on their next possession on a 27-yard pass to receiver Aaron Dobson, giving them a 14-0 lead.
Brady threw two touchdown passes in the first quarter, one to Develin and the other to Dobson.
Miami's offense found more consistency in the second quarter, but they were only able to score 9 points. New England added 10 points of their own in the quarter, protecting their lead. Much like last weeks game against Cleveland, New England came up short in their two minute situation at the end of the half. With possession of the ball, New England was moving down the field when Brady threw an interception to rookie Jamar Taylor. This led to Miami kicking their fourth field of the game. Despite that, Miami was still down by 12 points with only two quarters of football left to play.
New England's offensive line made rookie cornerback Jamar Taylor look like an all-pro. Taylor recorded three sacks and an interception in the game.
New England received the ball to start the third quarter and the drive immediately produced a score. Miami responded with a score of their own on the ensuing drive on a 9-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Tannehill to tight end Charles Clay. The 8 point deficit was the smallest the Miami had since the first quarter, and it looked like Miami would be competitive. For the second straight game however, kicker Stephen Gostkowski missed a close field goal attempt. The missed field goal did no harm to New England as safety Steve Gregory picked off Tannehill for the second time during the game.
Dolphin's tight end Charles Clay was very effective in the first game against the Patriots and this game was no different. Clay had 7 receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown.
After that, New England shut the door on any hopes of a Miami comeback by scoring 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. A third touchdown pass by Brady and a rushing touchdown from Stevan Ridley and LeGarrette Blount turned an easy victory into a blowout, the final score 48-19.
An interception by Steve Gregory late in the third quarter led to a touchdown pass to rookie receiver Kenbrell Thompkins early in the fourth.
New England won't see teams like Miami in the playoffs, but a win is a win. As long as this team takes care of it's own business, a playoff spot will be waiting for them. Before that, New England has two more games left in the 2013 regular season against the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills. Neither of those teams has an impressive record, but in order to avoid another game like the one against Cleveland, New England will have to stay focused and properly prepare themselves.
Game Ball/Extra Reps
Game Ball Tom Brady: Brady has a bounce back game, throwing for 345 yards to go with his three touchdown passes.
Receiving Core: The receivers' performance also improved greatly from the last game. Rookies Thompkins and Dobson each have a receiving touchdown.
Stevan Ridley/LeGarrette Blount: Both Ridley and Blount find the end zone and are able to produce in the running game.
Extra Reps Tom Brady/Offensive Line: The fact that Taylor of the Dolphins had three sacks is a sign that Brady and the offensive line need to do a better job communicating and recognizing the defenses formations.
Media Reaction Robert Flores @RoFloEA: Send me your best comments that sum up the drubbing the Patriots gave to the Dolphins. Trey Wingo @WingoZEA: There should be a Steven Ridley-branded hammer. No one wants to get in his way #Patriots Mike Hil @MikeHillEA: This is a football crazed country, so you can't expect the masses to be patient. #hotseat #Dolphins
