Re: Whatever Happened to the Patriot Way - A Madden NFL 25 New England Patriots CFM

I'm on the fence about whether or not I should continue this or end it and get Madden 15. Madden 15 looks like a much better game, but doing this franchise/dynasty has made Madden 25 much more enjoyable to play. Anyone that has been following, let me know what you think.

I already played the game against the Indianapolis Colts, but if I do decide to get Madden 15, then that update will be the last one.

I personally think it should be your decision.

But if I were you, I'd wait a few days for reviews and initial thoughts on M15 to pop up before you blow $60 or more on it. Or rent it opening day and test drive it. If something doesn't impress you about it, stick with M25 and hold out for next year. If you like gameplay and franchise mode, buy 15.

If now isn't the right time to panic, then you haven't been paying attention to what's been happening to the New England Patriots. After getting out to a 9-2 start, they have dropped three in a row. The Patriots haven't lost three straight games since 2002, when the team lost four in a row. What makes this losing streak more troubling is that it's happening so close to the playoffs. Having a losing streak at this time of the year won't instill any confidence in the team's chances to advance in the playoffs.

One of the common themes in the Patriots' losing streak ha been the aount of turnovers they've had. The turnovers weren't the only concern for New England. Players on offense had a difficult time holding onto the ball. Despite committing three turnovers for the entire game, the Patriots fumbled the ball five times. This led to the team being down by 37 points with the first half winding down.

The New England Patriots' inability to get off the field on thrid down and to hold onto the ball contributed to their huge deficit.

The problems the turnovers created were amplified by the defenses inability to stop the Indianapolis Colts' offense. Indianapolis moved the ball down the field with ease in the first half. Running lanes were wide open and the offensive line created a comfortable pocket for Andrew Luck to throw from. On top of all of that, New England's offense was ineffective for much of the first half, contributing to their huge deficit.

Former New England Patriot cornerback Darius Butler returns a fumble for a touchdown early in the second quarter.

By the time the end of the third quarter came, it looked like the Patriots offense had finally woken up. The defense had also started to play much better in the second half. That combination allowed the Patriots to score and keep the Colts from doing the same. At the end of the third, the Patriots were down by 30 points.

A valiant attempt at a comeback was made by the Patriots in the fourth quarter. While keeping the Colts off the scoreboard, the Patriots found the endzone three times. Time wasn't on their side in this game, as a late onside kick was recovered by the Colts. The Patriots managed to close the gap to 10 points but that was all.

Aaron Dobson catches his second touchdown of the day during what appeared to be a New England Patriots comeback.

If New England hopes to turn around this late season losing streak, they'll have to get a win next week in New York. While the New York Jets have a similar poor record to the Colts, this game should prove that the only thing that matters is how the players perform on Sunday.

Game Ball/Extra Reps

Game Ball
Aaron Dobson/Dorin Dickerson: Dobson and Dickerson are productive with Danny Amendola and Rob Gronkowski out due to injuries.
Jamie Collins/Jelani Gibbs: Both linebackers look like an effective duo with a combined 18 tackles.

Extra Reps
Shane Vereen: Vereen fumbles the ball multiple times during the game.
Offensive Line: Tom Brady gets sacked 5 times during the game.
Defensive Line/Secondary: The defense doesn't record a single sack and the secondary allows Andrew Luck to complete nearly 80% of his passes.

Media Reaction
Mike Hill - @MikeHillEA: Patriots will have trouble sleeping after that loss to the Colts.
Trey Wingo - @WingozEA: The Patriots have now moved past 4,000 yards passing on the year.
