Re: Not Another Rebuild: Cleveland Browns (M25)

Mack, Robertson, and Lauvao all showed a mutual intersted in the Browns.

We are happy to report that ILB Craig Robertson reached an agreement on a 3 year contract.

It's not all good news, however, as the Browns have backed out of negotiations with Alex Mack. The former all pro center is said to be looking to be the highest paid at his position.

Although the Browns have shown a desire to resign RG Shawn Lauvao, the team is allowing him to test the free agent market. This is viewed as a 'solid' by the team, as Lauvao figures to be relegated to backup duty next season.

SS TJ Ward has quickly cut all ties with the team. Apparently the losing ways of the franchise, and a fickle fanbase (which often mocked Ward for finishing season on IR) has doomed any possibilities of a new contract.

The Browns will not be using the franchise tag on Mack or Ward, as the new head coach is adamant that the Browns will only pursue players that want to be in Cleveland. Good luck...

Re: Not Another Rebuild: Cleveland Browns (M25)

2014 Free Agency

The Browns will have the #2 pick in the upcoming draft and are very likely to select a brand new QB.

The Browns are interested in the following players available this offseason.

WR - Looking for a reliable #2 receiver as Greg Little has been a total let down. Can't afford to have a guy dropping every other pass while I'm trying to develop a young QB.

Kenny Britt - A perfect compliment to Josh Gordon
James Jones - Reliable veteran
Dexter McCluster - Would likely try to convert him back to a change of pace/receiving back as WR just isn't working for him.

LG - Geoff Schwartz - Would be interesting to move him to RG and pair with his brother, Mitchell, who has been at RT for the last two years.

CB - Mike Jenkins - When healthy, could be a very good #2 corner. A huge upgrade over Skrine.

SS - MD Jennings - Seems to be a perfectly balanced run support/coverage strong safety.

Not trying to make a splash in FA until we know we have a QB, but I think these guys would go a long way to filling some holes.
