Re: Bowling for the Green - A Bowling Green Falcons Story
Poor Buffalo, drafting a QB that couldn't old off a WR at his position. I enjoy those rare players like Long that can do it all on offense, or sometimes, offense and defense, and figuring out how to deploy them best. I'm pumped to see you're back on this, after a crazy long break.

Yeah, Long is a Swiss army knife. He's even a regular on our kickoff coverage, and played WR before he took over the starting QB job.
And don't get too comfortable, there's about to be another crazy long break when I go back to school in a week. But, thanks for checking in anyway!
Re: Bowling for the Green - A Bowling Green Falcons Story
Falcons to Open 2017 against Clemson
July 1, 2017 -- The Big Ten Conference, in association with the Bowling Green State University Department of Athletics, announced today that the Bowling Green Falcons football team has been invited to play in the annual Cowboys Classic, the Opening Weekend kickoff game in Arlington, Texas. The nation has begun to see the achievements of BGSU over the last 4 years, especially this past season, continuing their dominance in their inaugural season in the elite conference that is the Big Ten. Despite losing their last two games, including the conference championship and then the bowl game, organizers of the Cowboys Classic still saw Bowling Green as a great fit for their annual game, thanks in large part to true sophomore, reigning Heisman winner, QB Zach Long. But, as to who the Falcons will face? How about none other than the reigning National Champs, the Clemson Tigers? That's right, folks. After finishing 14-0 last year and on top of the world, Dabo Swinney will begin his title defense campaign at the home of the Cowboys, against a program that is knocking on the door to be right where his program is now. With the title game aspirations that Coach Freday and his Falcons have, who knows, maybe this could be a potential preview of the 2018 BCS National Championship, or at least one of the BCS bowl games. Either way, it was created a significant buzz around west central Ohio as the start of fall camp looms.

Bowling Green Team Preview: 2017
For the FIRST time ever, season tickets at Doyt Perry Stadium have been sold out! For the second straight year, we have sold out of student season tickets! We keep getting louder every year, and with a home record of 18-6 under Coach Freday, and one home loss over the last two seasons, we've earned it! But, we must keep the energy up, and not rest on our laurels just yet. We have unfinished business this season. #DefendTheDoyt #TalonsUp

Author's Note: Most of the conference realignment I did prior to the start of last season has been reversed. Minnesota is back in the Big 10, and Indiana was moved from the Big 10 West back to the East where they belong. Marshall was kept in the MAC to keep the league at 12 teams.

Re: Bowling for the Green - A Bowling Green Falcons Story
My fellow OS 'chising community,
It was my intention to bring this back this summer, while I was home from school and had little else going on. However, this past spring, New England weather was particularly bipolar, even more so than normal, and a flood in our basement resulted in water damage to my XBOX 360, past the point of repair. It is with a sad heart that I announce that we have officially thrown out the 360, thus marking the official end of my favorite dynasty, my first dynasty, my baby. Bowling Green will always have a special place in my heart, even their teams IRL.
Now, the XBOX One was unaffected in this string of flooding, but I have yet to determine what I will do with it. Those of you who have followed my work for years know that I brought it with me to college my freshman year, and maintained a pretty entertaining Cowboys CFM for that first year. But, last year, I didn't have the XBOX with me at college, because I picked up a job with the UConn football team, the team I've loved more than any other, for as long as I can remember. That job, while a dream come true, is a major time commitment, and I didn't have time to take the XBOX with me at school. Now that I'm home again for the summer, I have ample time to churn out an update to that story, or create a new one for you guys, but since I didn't have the gaming console with me all school year, I have lost the itch to play. While we decide what to do with the XBOX One, I can say with relative certainty that I am retiring from the wonderful world of 'chising. It's been a great run, and I've loved every minute of it, but it does appear as if those days are behind me. I will still be active on these boards when I can, and support the work of those that have meant so much to me. But, as for my own work, this is the swan song.
