UCF Knights Dynasty

I followed UCF very closely this season. Living in Texas, I have many friends who were under the assumption that Baylor was a lot better than they really are, and they had never heard of UCF (they all told me I was stupid for picking UCF to beat Baylor, now I'm laughing at them).

So I've decided to start a dynasty with the Knights and see how things go.

Recruiting Rules:
2013: 2 star prestige rules - Graduating seniors +1. Can recruit all interested players, but no 5 stars. 4 stars must be from Florida. All recruits must be from (FL, AL, or GA). If I add a recruit to the board who is not interested to start the season he can not be better than 3*.
Also, may add or subtract up to 15 pounds on incoming freshman.

2014: 3 star prestige rules - No limit on # of recruits. No other changes.

House Rules
I avoid the use of corners and outs as much as I can (I still use them, but don't abuse them).
On defense I play as the DT or a safety (I believe this is the best way to make defense harder. You actually get a better pass rush, but it's harder to stop the run. Stopping the run playing with a LB is way too easy).
Super sim field goals.
I try to not return kickoffs for TDs, meaning I don't bounce the return outside (but I will return kicks for a TD if the blocking is perfect).
The better the coverage on a punt, the more likely I am to try and return it.

I'm using BuffEye Rosters that I personally edited to change a few things (mostly the no-huddle/hurry up settings).
Gameplay wise, I am using the slider set my friends and I created, found in my signature.

That's all I can think of right now...
I'll be posting box scores, recruiting updates, top 25, etc here, so feel free to comment/follow!

Re: UCF Knights Dynasty

Good luck.

I found your slider set posted in another thread and have been using them with my Boise State thread. Last year was really challenging fiinished 9-4 losing in my bowl game after buidling up and leading Georgia State to 3 National Titles. I have really focused on not throwing the ball where i shoulldn't this season. I have gone back to old school BSU Offense running guys around in the formation and setting up players to make big plays. So far it has worked. I struggle running the ball outside, but have found luck with some draw plays and counter plays.

Anyways good luck with UCF..

Re: UCF Knights Dynasty

And, without further ado, I give you the 2013-2014 UCF Knight schedule!

UCF Blanks Akron!

The UCF offense struggled to get points on the board early, but eventually got going. The Knights played very well on defense, allowing just 242 yards. Coach O'Leary was happy with the performance overall, but said that there is definitely room for improvement. "The offensive line played extremely well. Bortles didn't have the best game of his life, but it certainly wasn't his worst. We were able to run the ball well and that's a great place to start on offense. The defense played very well all game, and I can't think of anything to complain about there. We're looking forward to FIU next week. We'll continue to get better and I think this team has a great shot at making a BCS bowl game," O'Leary said in the post game press conference.

UCF plays a dismal FIU squad next week, so we're looking to see a similar result.

Knights Win in Miami!

Coming off the shutout against Akron last week, UCF looked to improve upon it's 1-0 record. Once again the defense played well, allowing just 288 yards. Coach O'Leary was pleased with the offensive performance, noting that Bortles played much better this week. "We had a tougher time running the ball, so it was nice that Bortles played so well," O'Leary remarked after the game.

As I have been using your slider set, cool to see you bring yourself here to making a dynasty. Definitely will be following, good start so far.
