Hello and welcome to my Tennessee Titans Dynasty.

I have downloaded and installed the Madden 25 Roster Set so I'll be playing with a current roster. I have also began playing and have skipped past the preseason stuff in an attempt to get a feel for the team (I'm more of a hockey guy and haven't played a lot of Madden). So for this year I will not be posting late cut's.

PRESEASON WRAP UP

The Tennessee Titans wrapped up preseason with an abysmal 0-4 record. New interim coach Jack McFadden will be in for a long regular season if this is any indication of how the season is going to go.

Neither Ryan Fitzpatrick nor Jake Locker showed any consistency and made poor decisions, which resulted in several interceptions. The Duo led all teams in preseason with 17 Interceptions given up. When C Kevin Matthews went down with a season ending injury, the Titans had to resort to free agency to fill a position they were depleted in. They signed C Jeff Saturday to a 1 year $4.0M deal. The 14 year veteran was on the verge of retiring when the Titans came calling. Saturday, now 38 said this will be his last season of football and plans on announcing his retirement at the end of the season.

The receiving corp also looked shaky with lots of dropped passes and misplayed routes. Neither Nate Washington or Kenny Britt played particularly well during preseason and Kendall Wright and Kevin Walter failed to show they could handle more responsibility. The most consistent receiving came from the Titans Tight End duo of Delanie Walker and Taylor Thompson. Thompson outplayed Craig Stevens by far and may have surpassed him on the depth chart. Both TE's combined for 8 touchdowns during preseason.

The only bright side for the team during preseason would be the depth at running back. Both Chris Johnson and Leon Washington had strong showings in their appearances, including a 85 yard TD run for Johnson. Shonn Greene; the 5th year player out of Iowa, also had strong performances and was close to challenging Washington for the backup running back job. Figure to have McFadden favor the running game strongly for the first few games of the season, which should give time for the passing game to improve.

Where the offense appeared to struggle during preseason, the Titans defense played exceptionally well. The defensive corps was bolstered with the signings of Free Agent's LB Bart Scott and CB Ndamdi Asomugha. The pair joins a very strong defense that already includes CB Jason McCourty, DB Alterraun Verner and S Bernard Pollard. Although the entire defense played well, second year player LB Zach Brown was a stand out, registering 3 sacks and 23 tackles.

Special Teams were also a position of strength for the Titans behind veteran Kicker Rob Bironas and Punter Brett Kern. Kendall Wright was electrifying, running two punts back for a touchdown and will be the primary punt returner for the season. Wright and Leon Washington got the nod to return kickoffs for the season.

The 2013 Regular Season kicks off next Sunday as the Titans play host to the New England Patriots and their high octane offense.
