Will the offensive line be able to handle Jadevon Clowney and Kelcy Quarles? This is by far the most talented team Vanderbilt has faced this year. They're going to have to play on another level if they want to win

Coach Davis with his thought on the game: ''My hat goes off to Steve Spurrier and his staff they did a fantastic job with preparation. They just out-played us we couldnt get the third down completions we needed and thats all she wrote. Jerron Seymour played through a sprained ankle and he clearly wasnt himself. Its our first loss of the season guys took it rough alot of the things we did earlier wasnt clicking today thats one of the better defensive lines we've faced all season there was just nowhere for him to run. Im not worried though we'll get things fixed.

Recruiting analyst Mike Farrell here to bring you all the latest info in recruiting.
In spite of the loss versus south carolina Vanderbilt received four commitments. Todd Cook is the highest rated out of the group he's the #8 guard in the nation at 6'3 321 he already has good size with room for him to bulk up in college. He is very dominant in the run game and able to use his strength to just overpower defensive lineman.

Coach Butch Davis with his thoughts on the game: ''Its always a disappointment when you lose but i though collectively as a team there were some positives. The defensive line played with alot of heart and emotion I know these guys were giving it 100% unfortunately it just wasnt enough. We lost this game by 4 points we kept it close for the majority of the game and then they pulled away with it in the fourth. I'm proud of this team and what I saw but it just wasnt out day I guess. That robert nkemdiche is a monster i'll be glad when he leaves for the nfl playing against someone like him is a night mare. he was nearly unblockable for the majority of the game. We're gonna go in the film room and focus strictly on next week I dont even wanna bother with breaking down this game.

Coach Butch Davis and his thoughts on the game:'' We went out there with a gameplan that didnt go according to our plans. Mark Richt is a great coach and recruited tons of talented players at that program. There were just some boneheaded mistakes made in blown coverage, missing assignments, and getting called for penalties it all added up for a disaster. Any time you give up that many points your going to lose, we're not oregon we dont have the weapons to just put up points like that on a consistent basis so the defense has got to play at a higher level than this. It seem like every time Todd Gurley or Keith Marshall got the ball they just eat yards up like it was nothing. We're going to go over these things in practice and in film. This was just and ugly loss.''
