He was outperformed by Shaun Hill in the preseason, but I think he has great upside. Just struggles with the deep ball. With Hill out of contract at the end of the season, Moore will probably be elevated to #2 if Hill asks for too much money or if he retires.

ADRIAN PETERSON-LED VIKINGS BEAT LIONS 23-20
PETERSON FINISHED WITH 211 YARDS ON 25 CARRIES, PICKING UP FROM WHERE HE LEFT OFF IN 2012
DETROIT, MI -- An Adrian Peterson inspired Minnesota Vikings knocked off NFC North rivals the Detroit Lions 23-20 at Ford Field on opening day. Peterson picked off from where he left off at the close of his 2012 MVP campaign, as he carried the ball 25 times for 211 yards as well as catching 5 passes for 29 yards and a touchdown.
The Lions will be disappointed with their start to the season. Despite dominating in the passing game, the Lions couldn't find an end-product, being held to four field goals from Dustin Hopkins before finally finding the endzone late in the 4th quarter, when a win was already out of the question.
Detroit's passing game was their only positive on offense, as new acquisition Running Back Reggie Bush was held to 31 yards on 12 carries in his debut for the Lions. The rest of the offense only added a further 10 yards on the ground.
Their defense wasn't much better. They could not stop the run - something you have to do when playing against Adrian Peterson. They also let Josh Freeman pick them apart. Freeman finished 15/20, for 149 yards and a touchdown.
Willie Young had a breakout game, sacking the veteran quarterback 4 times - a lone bright spark in a poor performance from the Lions defense. Poor play-calling could be attributed to the loss, as the Lions frequently had 4 deep in coverage when it wasn't necessary. However, Detroit must not make excuses.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford played well for the Lions, finishing 30/41 for 303 yards and a touchdown to Calvin Johnson.
The Lions went 0-6 in the division last season and they are already 0-1 this time out. They must improve to secure a desperately needed playoff spot this season.
In Week 2, the Vikings are in the Windy City to face another division rival in the form of the Chicago Bears. The Lions head west to the desert, to face the Cardinals in Arizona.

2013 - WEEK #1
Legend Must Move On - It's simply stunning that Charles Woodson has been cut today by the Oakland Raiders. He's had a wonderful career, but will it continue?
Old Man as QB - TCU QB Blake 'Pop' Warren is 36 years old and making national news as the oldest backup QB in college.
Tall Target - As six foot eight, UCF WR Shady Monroe has a great vertical and is capable of spectacular catches.
Worthy Of The Hype - Drew Brees is passing all-time greats while still passing all over defenses. He's now above Vinny Testaverde on the all-time passing yardage list.
Establishing Themselves - Rookie Head Coaches Doug Marrone, Mike McCoy, Gus Bradley and Rob Chudzinski win their first games as head coaches.
No Ending - The game may be remembered for the wrong reasons, but there's no questioning that the tie this week in Washington will be remembered for a long time.
Cut Days - DE Rob Ninkovich's time with the Patriots has come to an abrupt end, as New England announce his release.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefterEA: Legendary FS Charles Woodson has been cut by the Oakland Raiders. #shocker
Skip Bayless @SkipBaylessEA: Just think it's a lack of respect by the Raiders to cut Charles Woodson.
Todd McShay @ToddMcShayEA: The Giraffe of the NCAA, Shady Monroe is all height, but he isn't going to wow you with his speed or route-running.
Skip Bayless @SkipBaylessEA: Is Pop Warren TCU's way to win headlines? Why let a 36-year-old on the team otherwise? He's not going to play.
Robert Flores @RoFloEA: Drew Brees is moving up a who's who list of players. Now 7th on all-time passing list.
Robert Flores @RoFloEA: Never know what a tie will do to the NFL standings at the end of the year. #Eagles #Redskins
Chris Mortensen @RoFloEA: Rob Ninkovich has been released by the #Patriots, per sources.
