Will look at how team recruits and recruit that way. May go #1-Can only recruit players who are 1 star above my team's current prestiage, unless they start out in my Top 3
#2-Can recruit anyone in my home state regardless of ratings.

Meet Kevin Riley

Kevin Riley is a graduate of Beaverton High School in Portland, OR and of the University of California Berkeley. As the top high school prospect in Oregon he chose to attend Cal. Riley made his first career start for the injured Nate Longshore in California's homecoming game against Oregon State. Riley passed for 294 yards, two touchdowns, and rushed for a touchdown but California lost the game when he scrambled instead of throwing the ball away to set up a field goal to tie the game. Riley did get credit for putting Cal in a situation to win after being down 31-21 late in the fourth quarter.
Riley took over for Longshore in the second quarter of the 2007 Armed Forces Bowl. He passed for 269 yard, 3 touchdowns, and rushed for a touchdown, helping the Bears turn a 21-0 deficit into a victory. Riley was the game's MVP.
He then started the first 4 games his sophomore year before losing the starting job to Longshore. He would again regain it after coming in during the 4th quarter of the Arizona game on October 18.He would start the next two games before suffering a concussion against #23 Oregon. Longshore led the team to an upset win and got the start next week vs. #6 USC. Riley again would come into the game in the 2nd half and would get the starting job for the Big Game against Stanford. Although he won that game Longshore got the nod for the Emerald Bowl vs. Miami. Riley would then start every game the next year. His senior year he would start every game before suffering a season ending injury to his knee during an October 30th road game against Oregon State. Although he tried out for several professional teams he was unable to stick with any of them. He only was able to last 8 days with the BC Lions of the CFL. After that he worked for several years in medical sales before expressing an interest to coach. Although he received an offer to be the OC at Georgia State he declined because he wanted to stay on the west coast.

New Hire in Hawaii

2012 was not a good year for the Warriors. After a 6-7 year they ended up winning one conference game and only three total games. This can be partly attributed to a first year head coach running a new system. It can also be partly attributed to the QB play. After having 3 players since 2000 throwing for over 10,000 career yards not having one player throw for 2000 and having only one player throw for 1000 yards is severely disappointing. They tried to improve this by bringing in former Utah QB Jordan Wynn as the QB coach in November 2012. However after 6 months he is already on his way out after being fired by June Jones for disagreeing with Coach Jones coaching style. Now Hawaii has brought in 26 year old former Cal QB Kevin Riley. Riley will be working with returning leading passer Sean Schroeder who throw for 1878 yards, 11 TDs, and 12 Ints. The lefty will hope to work on his efficiency as he only completed 50 percent of his passes and only had a 100.3 passer rating. Hawaii will look to rebound this year and make it to a bowl game.

Suprise Realignment

After much debate the NCAA has decided on a major realignment of the conferences of football. The new system will emphasize playing hard in every game whether you're a team with 2 losses playing in a nobody cares bowl, or a team going into week 15 at 3-8. The new system is a relegation/promotion system. Essentially it will work like this
Relegations
Low -> Mid: Best eligible team (1 team total)
Mid -> Low: Worst eligible team from the same region as the low promotion (1 team total)
Mid -> High: Conference champions or best available (2 teams total)
High -> Mid: Worst eligible teams from the same region as the mid promotions (2 teams total)
High -> Elite: Conference champions or best available (4 teams total)
Elite -> High: Worst eligible teams from the same region divisions as the high promotions (4 teams total)

Once a team gets promoted or demoted, that team is stuck in their new tier for 2 years. This will help prevent borderline teams from jumping back and forth between tier and help create stability.

For low tier(independent) teams the NCAA will institute a point system. The system will work like this
5 points for a win vs ranked team(end of year)
4 points for a win vs Elite team
3 points for a win vs High team
2 points for a win vs Mid team
1 points for a win vs Low team
Teams do not get points for beating FCS teams. In fact they lose points if they lose or barely win
-1 points for a 7 or less point win
-2 points for a 7 or less point loss
-3 points for a 8-14 point loss
-4 points for a 15-21 point loss
-5 points for a 22+ point loss

The conferences for the system can be seen in this document
NCAA Relegation.zip
This system comes a year before the new College Football Playoff, and some wonder who this system will affect that.

Re: The Coaching Career of Kevin Riley

Just asking this so nothing is final yet, but is anyone even interested in this yet. Having trouble with PocketScouts editing thing which was going to make this whole dynasty. I got school tomorrow but when I get home if no one is interested in this and I can't get the editor to work then I think I'll just scrap this and try a new dynasty that doesn't rely on that. If someone is interested please comment or like the original post. Otherwise this might not last long.
