UConn is set to go bowling in a rematch John Silver UConn ranked #3 in the nation takes on old coach Randy Edsall and his #9 Maryland Terps in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The last time these teams met in Week 3 UConn was able to defeat Maryland 35 to 14. Cody Whitmer struggle in the game going 5/10 with 100 yards thrown but no Touchdowns and an interception.He did rush 6 times for 43 yards and 2 Touchdowns. The star of the game for UConn was the now injured Lyle McCombs who rushed for 23 attempts and produced 198 yards and 3 TDs while his replacement Max DeLorenzo rushed 5 times for 29 yards. The receiving core leader was Geremy Davis with 1 catch for 57 yards while Dhameer Bradley had 1 catch for 18 yards, Sean McQuillan had 1 catch for 17 yards and Deshon Foxx had 2 catches for 8 yards. UConn looks to remain undefeated on the season but only time will tell. |

UConn Did It! --Des Conner-- UConn and Maryland played a bonafide classic at the Mercedes SuperDome in New Orleans,LA. The UConn Huskies went undefeated(13-0) and brought home the Allstate Sugar Bowl title back to Storrs,CT. UConn was lead by Chandler Whitmer who threw for 240 yards and a TD and Max DeLorenzo who rushed for 100+ yards and a TD of his own. Geremy Davis received 5 catches for 120 yards as well. UConn's defense played stellar as well as Jhavon Williams lead the team with 6 tackles and UConn has a new all-time single season sacks leader as Jesse Joesph's passed Mark Michaels previous record of 13 sacks with 2 sacks against the Terps to bring his grand total to 15 sacks on the season. UConn will be holding a special ceremony next saturday which will be open to the public to see the Allstate Sugar Bowl trophy and meet the leaving Seniors. Stats:
