As my online leagues die down I decided that I wanted to my own CFM offline--which is something that I never really do. I don't enjoy playing the CPU normally and I normally only play in sim leagues or lobby games. An abysmal league record this year, however, has motivated to me commit to spending a little more time on my Madden skills and this is how I've decided to do it. Creating a dynasty thread is just to provide some interaction and accountability since I normally just end up simming a season or 3 and then deleting the file.
Why Green Bay? I'm a big Alabama fan and I wanted to use a team with at least 1 former Crimson Tide major contributor. I thought about Indy and Trent Richardson and Baltimore with CJ Mosely but the combo of Eddie Lacy and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was too much to pass up. Add to that the fact that Bart Starr played in GB and the Paul Bryant is to CFB what Lombardi is to the NFL sentiment(Among some Bama fans) and this just seemed like the place to be.
Progression will be set to end of season and I will abide by this also. I will not use XP until the end of year 2.
I will not do any practices.
Quarter Length will be 13 minutes with auto run off to 16 seconds.
Game speed is Slow
House Rules
-Beyond the 1st season trades I'll do to rid the team of stars and acquire draft picks/Alabama players, I will not trade away/trade for any player 30 or under and no players that are 84+ OVR(unless 31 or older).
-I will sign no more than 1 player per year that is 84+ free agency. Any other FA's will be for depth only.
-Players 30 and under will require that their bonus be 50% of their salary (1M salary means 500k bonus). 25% for players 31+.
-No contract can take a player beyond age 32. After that, it's 1 year contracts only.
-An injured player must be out for at least 8 weeks and the injury must keep them out through the end of the regular season in order to be put on IR.

Bears RB M Forte was an ever present danger to break runs open but it was E Lacy who imposed his will on Soldier Field to open the 2014 season. His churning out of both punishment and 1st downs gave Gabbert time to throw and, to my surprise, Gabbert displayed a very nice touch dropping several passes just behind shallow LB's. As the Bears went into desperation mode late, it was former teammates Clinton-Dix and Hubbard (User-Pick) who created turnovers to seal the game.
I like these sliders but in both games--this one and the one I failed to save--points came way to easy and often. I'll look to make tweaks after the 4th game.
