Couldn't Come Sooner: Oklahoma's Return to Glory (NCAA 14)

COULDN'T COME SOONER
OKLAHOMA'S RETURN TO GLORY

House Rules:
Start Dynasty off on All-American, if we do real well, turn it up to Heisman. If we make the "playoffs", turn it up to Heisman regardless of record.

MUST HAVE A+ SCHEDULE TOUGHNESS EACH YEAR

NO FCS TEAMS

I'm not a real big recruiter so I just check in on how we're doing here and there but for now I'm leaving it up to the CPU to do most of my recruiting.

7min quarters, 0 speed threshold, playing on Xbox 360

Rosters are going to be this years draft class, ex: Manziel, Clowney, Mettenberger, etc. haven't been drafted yet and are in their final years

TRAGEDY IN OKLAHOMA

After a solid 11-2 season, head coach Bob Stoops was planning on staying in Oklahoma to continue a good football program, what he wasn't planning on was a drunk driver hitting his car on the way home from the grocery store.

With the tragic death of their HC, the Sooners were in need of a new one, and saw a few options. One of them being coach Swoosh Jones of the LHS Patriots, who has recently lead the Pats to four straight regional titles and two state championship appearances. After speaking on the phone with Coach Jones, the Sooners decided he was their guy.

Coach Jones was quoted in the local newspaper as planning to "take Oklahoma to the next level."

BATTLE IN BRYANT-DENNY STADIUM

Oklahoma's season started off with a big opponent, the #11 ranked Sooners take on #1 ranked Alabama week 1.

GAME 1: #11 OU @ #1 BAMA

QTR 1:
Oklahoma started off hot, picking off Crimson Tide quarterback AJ McCarron on the first play of the game. Defensive back J. Wilson ran the interception the other way for a gain of 14 yards, putting the Sooners in prime position to score.

And score they did. Senior tailback D. Williams bulldozed Alabama safety Vinnie Sunseri for a 3 yard goal-line score, putting Oklahoma up seven to nothing.
Alabama wouldn't let this score go unanswered however, QB AJ McCarron fired a laser pass to wide out Amari Cooper for a 34 yard catch and run TD, Alabama would've tied the game 7-7, but they missed their PAT making the game 7-6.

QTR 2:
The second quarter is where the Tide began to slow down, OU managed to score a TD on an endzone corner pass by QB Blake Bell to tight end B. Green. But the Sooners didn't want to let Alabama have any chance of getting a jump on them, so new head coach Swoosh Jones elected to go for two, which they managed to convert. Later in the quarter, Alabama could only muster up a field goal, making the game 15-9 Sooners at half time.

QTR 3:
Oklahoma managed to increase lead even more by shutting Alabama's offense down in the second half and continuing the offensive assault. Oklahoma got another jump on Alabama with a 16 yard touchdown run by QB Blake Bell. Bell scrambled outside of the pocket and took off for the endzone, getting a big push from his fellow player to make it in after being met by safety "Ha-Ha" Clinton Dix. Oklahoma was up 22-9 by the fourth quarter.

QTR 4:
OU couldn't continue the offensive assault, but the Crimson Tide finally got rolling. Alabama managed to drive down to the goal-line and score after a five yard scramble by AJ McCarron. Unfortunately for the Tide, one touchdown wouldn't be enough to win the game, and that's all they could get. Alabama fell just short of the Sooners, losing 22-16.
