Re: Bringing Detroit a Dynasty, A Madden 15 CCM (PS$)

Ndamukong Suh breaks single-season sack record!

The record set by Michael Strahan oh so long ago against Brett Favre has been broken!.... more like shattered. In just Week #14, Ndamukong Suh currently has 26 sacks. Yes, that's no typo but in fact reality. Suh has been dominating offensive guards for most of the season and has simply been straight up dominant.

The main factor though is, can he get a contract done with Detroit? He's expiring right now and we're towards the end of the season with no new deal. It'll be interesting to see if a deal gets done, how much exactly? As well as if a new contract doesn't get done, what will that mean for Detroit as a whole?

Detroit, MI: How sweet it is oh how sweet it is... the Detroit Lions were 8-5 going into this game took on their rivals the Vikings, who were also 8-5.... and their defense thrashed them! Matt Cassel may have had pretty numbers throwing wise, but those came late when the game didn't matter, the Lions offense didn't get the chance to stat-pad either which is why the Vikings look superior. Overall, the Lions are now 9-5 with 2 games remaining in the season.

Player of the Game: Asante Samuel, finally a secondary member on here! Samuel had 2 picks, both setting up eventual TDs for Detroit. His Pick 6 was a beauty and just really capped off a great day for the defense who also scooped up 2 Matt Cassel fumbles for TDs as well.

The Lions will now be traveling to Chicago to take on the Bears.. the last team to have beat them this season.

Breaking News: Suh signs 6-years/72M deal!

Yes! You've read that right! The Detroit Lions and Ndamukong Suh reached an agreement on a 6-year/72M dollar deal this morning. The deal is very heavily average salary yearly based at around 12M a season, but this is because his signing bonus is very low at 2.4M. The Detroit Lions got their #1 man on the defense now locked up long-term. They will now have to focus on the rest of the season as well as locking up a few other players such as Ashlee Palmer and Rob Sims, but now that the big fish in the pond is signed, it should be looking good for Detroit moving forward.

Chicago, IL: The defense!!! Look at that, what a difference. Of course the conditions are massively different, but in the Ford Field stadium the Lions secondary and defense as a whole allowed 52 points! Now in Chicago's homefield they allowed just a mere 7! Fantastic comeback for the team as a whole. The Bears had the #32 ranked defense coming into today and while the Lions offense didn't light up a show, they played what they needed to, to get the victory. Megatron was of course megatron, and Ebron contributed with a nice TD as well.

Player of the Game: Kyle Van Noy, someone who's been coming on strong as of late. He had another INT today and while the Lions didn't capitalize because of a fumble by Reggie Bush, it still frustrated the Bears offense. He's been also a very big presence in the running game in terms of stopping it, as seen by Forte's poor numbers.

The Lions will head to Wisconsin now to close out their 2014 NFL Regular Season vs the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay, WI: What a sweet day it is for Lions fans... NFC North Champions! The Packers were 9-6 heading into today and with a victory could have stolen the crown from Detroit at the last second, but instead the Lions prevailed! It was tight throughout (including falling behind 14 in the middle of the game) but Matthew Stafford and the defense pulled it out. A division title for Barry Sanders first season as owner? Not too shabby.

Player of the Game: Eric Ebron, very solid overall performance with 2 TDs.

Now the Lions will wait for the postseason to begin! Postseason! After starting 0-3, the Detroit Lions went 11-2 in that span and boy are they happy to finally get some January action football.
