Locker's Return Catapults Titans Over Lowly Browns
October 5, 2014
Nashville TN

Quick Take | Jake Locker returned to action with a makeshift glove on his throwing hand following his broken thumb. His accuracy struggled, but with the help of third string running back Shonn Greene, the Titans ended their three game losing streak with a 31-17 victory over the winless Cleveland Browns.

It was over when... | Jackie Battle's one yard run with 8:05 left in the game. It gave the Titans a three touchdown advantage that sealed the deal. Cleveland would score once more, but couldn't overcome the deficit.

Game Ball | Halfback Shonn Greene - 24 Carries, 126 Yards, 1 TD; 1 Reception, 19 Yards
Greene started as Dexter McCluster did not dress due to a broken jaw the week before and rookie Bishop Sankey struggled in practice. Greene did not disappoint, carrying the workload for an offense that struggled with Jake Locker returning.

Game Notes | Blidi Wreh-Wilson left the game in the first quarter with an undisclosed injury and did not return. -- Akeem Ayers did not dress for the second straight week and sources believe a trade is imminent. -- Rookie Johnny Football looked solid early making defenders miss, but struggled in the second half, succumbing to a total of seven sacks.

Bailed Out By the Defense, Titans Sruvive
October 11, 2014
Nashville TN

Quick Take | Three takeaways and seven sacks. That was the baseline of a tough Tennessee defense that bailed out Jake Locker's struggles. Locker had three turnovers [two interceptions, one fumble] but nearly 300 yards through the air.

It was over when... | Bernard Pollard took a Blake Bortles pass seventy-one yards the other direction for a touchdown. It was Tennessee's second defensive touchdown of the game and sealed the fate of the Jaguars.

Game Ball | Safety Bernard Pollard - 7 Tackles, 1 INT, 1 TD
Pollard was all over the field making key tackles. His interception sealed the game for Tennessee bringing them back up to .500 for the first time since week two.

Game Notes | Dontay Moch had 1.5 sacks as the starter following the Ayers trade. -- Jaguars cornerback Demetrius McCray made a one handed interception in the end zone, one for the highlight reels for sure.

Tennessee Signs Hester, Fells
October 15, 2014
Nashville TN

The Tennessee Titans announced today the signings of two free agents. The first announced was return specialist Devin Hester. Hester's signing comes at the heels after a struggling T.J. Graham fumbled another kick return and muffed a punt return in the Jacksonville game. Graham has seemingly struggled in recent weeks. Graham was subsequently released following the announcement.

Also signed was tight end Darren Fells. Fells, 28, is a former international basketball player who was undrafted last year. His impressive 6'7 frame makes him an impressive target. Jermichael Finley has struggled to stay healthy since signing with the team during the preseason and general manager Ruston Webster liked what he saw from Fells. Third string tight end Taylor Thompson was released to make room for the signing.

Seems about right that 2 Green Bay defensive players were hurt, very accurate. Like this so far
