Hello everyone and welcome to my new franchise. I'll be cronicling the career of my created QB Jalen Grymes as he attempts to become the franchise QB for the Houston Texans. I had a franchise on here some time ago with Madden 25 and the Jaguars which didn't go the way I liked. So I'll be sticking with this as long as I can. The entire 2014 season has been simmed so this will pick up right at the start of the 2015 season. I will post a brief summary of the 2014 season shortly. I'm looking forward to the challenge as I have tuned the sliders to the best of my ability so that you won't see a Texans Super Bowl win for a while if possible. I want this to be a long, challenging career that I hope you all enjoy. So sit back, relax and watch this young career unfold.

Jalen Lovell Grymes is an American football quarterback for the Houston Texans of the National Football League. He played college football for the Virginia Tech Hookies, a FBS school. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014. After spending his rookie year as a backup Grymes became a free agent & signed with the Houston Texans.

2014 Season Summary

2014 was a season of surprises and some reception of sorts. The best overall player this season was the Saints savior Drew Brees. Throwing for 41 TDs and nearly cracking the 5000 yard mark again. Brees was named MVP as the Saints cruised to a 13-3 record. After avenging their playoff loss of last season by beating the Seahawks in the divisonal round, they then thrashed the 49ers en route to the Super Bowl. It was not to be however, as the Saints fell thanks to a game winning Tom Brady drive. The Pats regained their Super Bowl form after a 14-2 record. Edging out the Saints 34-31 sealed Brady's legacy as the greatest Super Bowl QB of all time.

Other highs and lows included the Chargers, Panthers, and Chiefs all missing the playoffs. Johnny Manzel winning Ofensive Rookie of the Year & leading the Browns to a AFC North title. Oakland snatching defeat from the jaws of victory by going 2-14 & earning a 1 overall pick. The Broncos returning to the AFC title game only to lose a heartbreaker to the Pats. Eli Manning imploding to the point of the Giants cutting him. And finally the Cowboys go 4-12 resulting in Jason Garretts firing. 2014 was an eventful year, setting up a 2015 that could very much surpass it.

Texans sign young QB Grymes to 4 year deal

HOUSTON-- The Houston Texans have come to a contract agrement with free agent quarterback Jalen Grymes earlier this afternoon. The deal is for 4 years & is reportably worth $14.4 million.

The signing brings in much needed depth at the quarterback position for the Texans. The 2014 season saw Ryan Fitzpatrick & Ryan Mallet exchange playing time to little results. Houston is coming off a 7-8-1 campaign as a result of their 23rd ranked passing offense. Both Fitzpatrick & Mallet were not resigned in the offseason. Tom Savage is the only other quarterback on the roster.

This gives the opratunity to Jalen Grymes few thought he'd get coming out of Virginia Tech last year. He went undrafted in 2014 & signed a deal with Kansas City. Though he quickly worked his way up the depth chart as the year went on & became Alex Smith's back up. The Chiefs released Grymes in an effort to make more cap room for their big free agent signings. He soon after became an highly sought after QB during free agency due to his youth and West Cost Offense skillset. The Bears, Cowboys, Raiders & Super Bowl Champion Patriots were all teams reportedly interested.
