The Cleveland Browns have announced that Head Coach Mike Pettine has stepped down as the head coach for personal reasons that were not disclosed. Owner Jimmy Haslam released a statement saying, "The Browns are very sorry to hear that Coach Pettine is having personal problems that are causing him to step down. We are moving quickly to find a new head coach, however, we will make sure that he is the right fit for this roster."

This announcement catches everyone by surprise. Just when you thought things were looking up for Browns organization, something like this is why they may never be able to build a dynasty like other organizations.

BREAKING: BROWNS ANNOUNCE MIKE GUNDY AS NEW HEAD COACH

In a surprising hire, the Cleveland Browns have hired former Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy. Gundy had a lot of success as the Oklahoma State head coach. Many people thought that the Browns would hire someone who was a current employee in the NFL.

Gundy was very short in his press conference, stating, "I am very happy to be the new head coach of the Cleveland Browns. I look forward to meeting the new players and hiring the new staff. With that being said, it's time for me to go to work. I look forward to the challenge ahead."
