How are you creating the two tables for coaching history? Those are cool to sort through and see where certain coaches have landed throughout the years.
If you are using 2.2a it produces a coaches.csv file every year with all the job info in it. If you are using 2.2 you can go to your coaches page and copy everything in the table then go to excel and do paste special, then select text. This will put all the coaching data from the coaches page into an excel file. You will need to convert the cells where the records will be (win-loss ex 9-2) to text or it might change some of the records to dates by default. I then insert a column at the front and add the year manually.
Each year I save the coaches data and then add it to my big list on coaches.csv This creates the master list of all coaches and there job history. From there I will then filter the results to remove coordinators so only HC jobs are left. At that point I sort by year then sort alphabetically by team name. I copy these results to a new sheet and save that sheet as school.csv
to display the contents of the csv files to the web. just add the url of the address link where is says ?url=
This might seem involved but as with anything it gets quick once you have done it a few times. It takes me less than 3 minutes to do the whole process.
Any step by step procedure sounds complex in text (I'm a middle school technology teacher) but usually hasn't nearly as tough or as complicated as it sounds. I'm pretty good with a Excel so this shouldn't be too difficult. I'll give this a shot either today or over the weekend. Thanks again. You have injected serious life into this game.
DYNASTY THOUGHTS: It is hard to believe I just finished my 6th year with North Carolina. Playing under the current rules feels like I am in a boat with 100 holes and I only have 20 fingers and toes to try and stop the water from coming in. It never feels like I can get the roster to where I want it before graduation or a player leaving early creates another hole. I am seeing more wins on the field and looking at my team ratings we are slowly getting better but this is a new experience (not being able to have a loaded roaster) for me and I must say I am loving it. Normally by year 6 my team is stacked and ready to compete for National Championships, following this season I am just hoping for 7 wins next year. We should have a pull back as this year we were 83.9 ovr (83.6 off, 83.7 def, 88.0 st) and next year we drop to 82.8 ovr (81.6 off, 82.5 def, 93.0 st).
After 6 years of recruiting under the new rules my class rank average is 36th (24,28,37,62,15,50). It has made getting great classes on campus a real headache. Overall I have to say I am loving the challenge this has brought to the game.
REVIEW: This is the season of what might have been. Senior starting quarterback Derek Barnes (93 ovr) was lost for the season (during our week 8 victory against then #1 Florida State) with a ruptured disk in his back. In week 10 against NC State we lost redshirt freshmen backup QB Shawn Franklin (81 ovr) for the season to a broken forearm. At this point we were down to only one qb on the roster and that was freshman Nick Strickland (71 ovr). The offense was cut back and for the final three games of the regular season we rode the legs of Alex Guerrero to win after win. All was looking good as we entered the ACC Championship game at 11-1 against 6-6 Miami. They killed our running game the first half and by the time I took over in the second half we were already down 38-7. It was an ugly game where our defense could not stop the passing attack of the Hurricanes giving up 433 passing yards as we lost 55-14.
We played against #7 Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl. I took over in the second half down 28-14 at which point we proceeded to go three and out. Luckily we got a stop and on the next drive we scored to pull within 7. Fr Nick Strickland was 7/13 for 114 yards and 2 tds passing in the first half but did not complete any of the four passes he attempted in the second half (1 bad throw, 3 drops). Once it was clear the passing game would do us in we went to just pounding the ball and relied on the legs of Strickland (10 carries, 146 yards, 1td) and Jr Alex Guerrero (20 carries, 111 yards). We scored again with 5:56 left in the fourth to tie the game up and then after a hard fought 7 play series our defense stopped Ohio State. We then marched down the field and kicked a 22 yard field goal to win the game as time expired and finished the season 12-2 and ranked #4 in the country.
True Freshman Ben Griffin (6'2 247lbs) ended the year with 104 carries for 552 yard and 6 touchdowns.
OFFSEASON: No offers as I have yet to complete 50% of my contract which will occur after the 2030 season. This offseason we had a terrible predicament as starting HB Alex Guerrero and WR Corey Davis both decided to go pro after their junior year. At this point there is no right choice, we are already losing three wide outs this year and if we let Corey go we will really be scrapping the bottom of the barrel talent wise next year. On the flip side we are very thin at running back. Ben Griffin will be able to carry the load pretty good but we lack depth and I did not think I would need to sign someone in my recruiting period so who knows what we might get to fill the hole left by Alex. After a lot of thought I decided to try and convince Corey Davis to come back for his Senior year since he was only projected as a 6th round pick. He did and now we will hopefully stay injury free at the running back spot next year.
RECRUITING: In the regular season I signed 2 **** and 8 ***. We finished with the #52 class in the nation and 9th in the ACC (72 pts, 2 ****, 11 ***, 1 **, 2*).
TROPHY CASE: Bronko Nagurski Trophy & LB of the Year (V.Franz), Ray Guy Award (A.Lewis), ACC Coastal Champions, Fiesta Bowl Champions
GAMES PLAYED: Boston College, Wake Forest, Miami (ACC Championship), Ohio State (Fiesta Bowl)
SELECTION COMMITTEE: Unbeaten Big 12 Champion Texas (12-0) got the #1 spot while Big Ten Champion Penn State (12-1) got the #2 spot. The last two spots came down to USC (10-2), Nebraska (10-2), Notre Dame (10-2) and North Carolina (11-2). Notre Dame and USC eventually got the last two spots. North Carolina had a better resume (more quality wins against ranked opponents, tougher schedule) but with the blow out in the ACC Championship game and being down the the third QB, I just could not justify the Tar Heels being one of the four best teams this year.

Man, that certainly is the "season that could have been". Injuries are such a killer anyways but with the recruiting house rules and not having the aforementioned "next four star stud up", depth is certainly challenged. Then the rule of only convincing one player to return makes things that much more challenging.
I think you made the right decision in bringing back Corey Davis. A WR that is project to go in the 6th round probably should be back for his senior season to try to improve that draft stock. Ben Griffin is going to have to tote the rock early and often for the Tar Heels. I hope he can stay injury free because he could be one of the best backs in UNC history with his build and ability.
I'm glad to finally see my Longhorns break through and win another title! It's been a long time coming for them in this dynasty. Still cool to see Notre Dame still contending for national titles after you've left them.
DYNASTY THOUGHTS: We are still slowly building, this year we have the 19th most talented starters (83.4 ovr). If we can keep winning 8 to 9 a year and stay at 5 stars we should finally turn the corner and win another conference championship. Right now I am liking the pace of the build and the difficulty, no changes to be made.
REVIEW: We lost Ben Griffin during the Clemson game for six weeks due to a torn pectoral. Two weeks later against Washington we lost our top receiver Corey Davis for 11 weeks with a strained knee. Lastly against Texas A&M we lost starting quarterback Shawn Franklin for 9 weeks to a stress fracture in his foot. We went from So QB Shawn Franklin (86 ovr), So HB Ben Griffin (85 ovr) and Sr WR Corey Davis (93 ovr) to QB Nick Strickland (75 ovr), HB JD Hudson (77 ovr) and WR Michael Arnold (78 ovr). Losing our three best skill players really hurt us this year.
We were down a little this year getting off to a 1-2 start (Lost to Rutgers but beat Notre Dame then lost to Louisville). After that we won four straight before the injury bug hit and we finished the regular season 3-2. We got back our injured starters for the Sun Bowl but turned the ball over four times, luckily our defense was playing lights out and we won 20-7 and only allowed the Sun Devils 123 yards of offense for the game. We finished the year 9-4 (6-2, 2nd in the ACC Atlantic) and ranked #8 in the nation.
OFFSEASON: After the season was over I was offered jobs by Miami, South Carolina, Maryland, Utah and Kentucky, all of which I declined. North Carolina also offered me a four year extension (which would only add one year to my current contract) which I also declined.
I did noticed that WR Corey Davis, who I talked in to coming back last year and was projected as a 6th round pick then, was drafted in the first round this year. Also this offseason I accepted three transfer into the program OLB Ricky Bradley (64) from Virginia, FB Alex Boyd (64) from Old Dominion and OLB Tariq Sharp (62) from Tulane.
RECRUITING: In the regular season I signed 1 *****, 5 **** and 2 **. We are still battling Georgia for the #1 DT in the nation Chris Cox (6'4 264lbs from Sawmills, NC). We were down by only 35 points entering week 14, but the Bulldogs had him scheduled to visit that week. I was really hoping they would not sign him. They didn't, but they did jump ahead by 1895 points. Once we got to the offseason we put everything we had into signing him (15,000pts) and he became a Tar Heel. We finished with the #18 class in the nation and 3rd in the ACC (112 pts, 2*****, 5 ****, 2 ***, 3 **, 6*).
TROPHY CASE: Sun Bowl Champions
GAMES PLAYED: Georgia Tech, Clemson, Arizona State (Sun Bowl)
SELECTION COMMITTEE: This year was pretty easy placing the playoff teams as Big 12 Champ West Virginia was #1, SEC Champ Georgia #2, ACC Champ Virginia Tech #3 and Big 10 Champ Illinois #4

NEXT SEASON: I think we should compete for an ACC title next year. My main goal is to stay at 5* so we can keep our recruiting classes ranked high and bring in good talent. If we can do that everything else should take care of itself.
Injuries definitely held you guys back this year but still a good season. Corey Davis' increased draft stock only makes your decision to persuade him to stay look more and more realistic. Love to see stuff like that. I had a feeling Ben Griffin would get banged up, just how the sim engine works. Hopefully he can play injury free and lead your ground attack offense.
