Part II

Rock Reynolds was created as a tribute to long time coach Dan McCarney. Coach McCarney spent time at Iowa State (1995-2006) and is currently the head coach at North Texas. He is the most intense and passionate coach I have ever had the opportunity to be around and know.

A few years ago, on a board long since forgotten, Rock Reynolds began his career as the coach of Coe College, a tiny Division III football program from Cedar Rapids, IA. Rock spent 6 seasons at the helm of the Kohawks before moving on to Miami University in Ohio. Technical issues (bad memory card) limited Rock to a total of 18 games with the RedHawks. A reboot of his career saw Rock land at Northwestern State where he spent four plus seasons with the Demons. All said and told, Rock’s career record was 105-50 before the plug was pulled. Not winning a National Title with Rock has always bugged me…so now we are trying to rectify that situation.

By today’s standards I am a gaming dinosaur. All of my previous dynasties have been Coach Mode using NCAA 2009 on PS2, and this one will not be any different. Sliders are a slightly modified version of what was used by the great Dawg_Gone in his Pine Bluff dynasty from the old Utopia Board.

I employ a Defensive Coordinator meaning that I set up the profile and let the computer “call” the game. This time around I will also be using an Offensive Coordinator. This means that I will set up the profile and let “CORSO” call the plays…Lord, please give me patience and strength.
