Who's Left to Catch a Pass?!

New Orleans is known for 3 things: Hurricane Katrina, Mardi Gras, and the beloved Saints. Well one of those things is hurting, and it isn't Katrina. The Saints had to go through their first week without their top 2 WRs: Victor Cruz and Reggie Wayne. They only had 3 WRs left on the roster to go against the Bats from Austin.

Well New Orleans brought the party because they shot down those Bats in a shootout 41-38. The remaining 3 WRs caught a total of 24 passes for 271 of Nick Foles 361 yards through the air. Not to mention the ground yards put up by Andre Ellington to open the pass game tremendously. By the final whistle he eclipsed 159 yards and 1 TD...oh ya and he caught 4 balls for 24 yards coming out of the backfield.

I know you're surprised on the outcome, but so was Austin. Having a healthy team offensively, they thought they had enough fire power to extinguish any sort of offense that New Orleans put up. Keep in mind that the Bats had two receivers over 100 yards in Josh Gordon and Kenny Stills. Well now the two teams are notched at 1-1 in the division. Wow, what a game. Can't wait to see what New Orleans can do next week without Cruz and Wayne again.

Thanks AJ. Anytime you want to see something (ie your favorite players stats or whatnot) just post away. I enjoy reading everyone's comments and it makes me know that people are reading.
