Bills cut Tyler Thigpen following arrest
One day after the Buffalo Bills learned quarterback Tyler Thigpen was arrested, the team released the seven-year veteran.
Thigpen, 28, appeared to be battling for a roster spot. Thigpen has exclusively worked with the 3rd team throughout training camp and into the preseason. He played sparingly vs. the Redskins last Thursday, not entering the game until the fourth quarter. He did throw a touchdown, but otherwise played poorly, throwing two interceptions.
The Bills have not been happy with the play of their backup passers.. The departure of Thigpen leaves only Fitzpatrick in Buffalo's quarterback room.
