ESPN UPDATE
12 January, 2015 - After breaking on Twitter, the news has reached it's way to the rest of the mass media. Earlier today, John Fox and the Denver Broncos mutually agreed to part ways.
Broncos GM John Elway reportedly held a staff meeting in which he told all assistant coaches they were encouraged to pursue other opportunities within the NFL. It appears as if the Broncos new head coach will be given the option to keep the existing staff or bring in their own.
This makes the future for everyone within the organization cloudy - especially aging superstar quarterback Peyton Manning. After his ninth one-and-done playoff appearance, it was discovered that he played the last month of the year through a torn quad muscle in his leg. With health, age, and coaching concerns, it is not yet apparent what Peyton plans to do next season. Could this be the end of an era?
As for Denver's coaches, John Fox won't be out of a job for long. Early indication is he may be coaching the Chicago Bears next year. Offensive coordinator Adam Gase has become a hot head coaching candidate, landing interviews with several teams - including the San Francisco 49ers. Defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio could also land a California head coaching gig as he is set to interview for a second time with the Oakland Raiders later this week.
Plenty of action is sure to unfold shortly, and we will be covering every step of it.
