POURCIAU, DEFENSE FALTER IN GIANTS SEASON OPENER VS JETS, GIANTS LOSE 27-24

Now normally, I would say that this was a good game for both QBs. This is completely untrue, whilst Pourciau preformed admirably, tossing 414 yards and a touchdown, he also tossed 2 picks to the other team, of which lead to a Geno Smith touchdown pass to Mike Goodson. Meanwhile Geno Smith saw fit to play good football, which is surprising, given his train wreck of a rookie year, and tossed an 84% completion rate, 316 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The QBs play, a deciding factor, but not the only one. The defenses also had a pretty big say in this. Let's start with the Giants......it was just bad. The Giants couldn't stop ANYTHING today, they let Mike Goodson run all over them and ruin them. One could hear the Giants players complaining about the ***-pounding Goodson gave them for miles. The Giants defense was not able to put pressure on Smith and only brought him down twice, whilst the Jets defense was able to pressure Pourciau and turn those pressures into 4 sacks. The Giants need to step it up Week 2, where they head to FedEx Field to face off against the Redskins
