Ok guys I have tried doing these dynasty threads in the past to only have my dynasty files get deleted by my kids or just have it become a burden trying to be overly detailed. As I have read through many of the dynasties on here I started getting ideas of how to do something different then the traditional "Coaching Career" or "All about build X school up" dynasties. Don't get me wrong those are great reads and it is fun to build a team up but I didn't want to do another one of those. So I had this idea a while back when I started a 2nd dynasty to go along with my main dynasty file when I need a break. I wanted to not start from year 1 following my coach but rather several years in. Then the other day I started reading back through the "How's your dynasty going" thread in the NCAA section here at OS and I started remembering some of the great dynasties people like Bleedgreen, BeeKay, and J.Horne.SC were posting about.


After some thought I decided to take my first dynasty file, I started it in December 2013, and turn it into something worth posting about. So here is the background on that dynasty to get you caught up to what I plan on doing with this thread.


I am at the end of the 2025 season. My head coach, DeAndre Boss, has just finished his 7th season as the HC at Georgia. In those 7 seasons he has won 4 straight BCS titles (2021-2024), 7 SEC titles, and on a 72 game win streak starting in the 2020 season. The program is at the top of the NCAA world, but all that is about to change. We lose the 2025 BCS title game 38-28 to New Mexico, the very team my coach built into a power from years 4-7 of the dynasty, and end the 72 game win streak. The lose would be just a minor problem for Coach Boss and the Georgia program.


So I hope you guys enjoy reading this. I have learned from past mistakes in writing these things to play the game then write and post when I can. I will try to post a couple times each week but I do have a life, I teach and coach, and I have a wife and kids. I hope you guys enjoy reading this and please feel free to post thoughts/commits and if you like something hit the little thumbs up icon so I know people are reading this stuff. Here we go...

Breaking News….

Coming out of Athens, Georgia today is news that the NCAA is launching an investigation into the Georgia football program and Head Coach DeAndre Boss. This news comes on the heals of Georgia’s defeat in the 2026 BCS title game. In that game Georgia lost to New Mexico, a program Coach Boss helped build, by a score of 38-28. The lose snapped Georgia’s 72 game win streak and their 4 year title run.

Sources are telling us that the NCAA’s investigation involves major recruiting violations, academic inaccuracies, false high school transcripts, and a former booster who worked as a sports agent. At this time the investigation is on going and no charges have been ordered by the NCAA.

Coach Boss just finished his 7^th season at Georgia. Coach Boss spent his first two years as the OC at FIU before taking the OC job at Georgia when Mike Bobo left for the Vandy head coaching job. In his one season as the Georgia OC he led one of the top offense in the nation to the BCS title game before losing to Texas. After that season he was offered the head coaching job at New Mexico. In three short years he turned New Mexico into a national champ in 2017. The following season he pushed for their move to the Big-12. After a great first year in the Big-12 and a Fiesta Bowl win, Coach Boss decided it was time to return to Athens after Mark Richt was fired. He quickly made a home in the SEC winning the SEC title his first year, something he would do in his 7 seasons in Athens. Starting in year 2021 Georgia would win four strait national titles and never lost a game. In fact after the Vandy lose in the 2020 season Georgia would go on that 72 game win streak. The offense was always in the top 10 each season and Coach Boss has always been able to produce NFL draft picks. None of those picks were better then QB Eric Bellamy who holds the school record for yards, Tds, and was the starting QB for those 4 in-a-row national titles. He would go on to be the #1 overall pick in the 2025 draft. At this point Coach Boss sits at a career record of 132-8. He has been one of the most dominate coaches in NCAA history. If this is the end of his time in Athens or coaching then all those wins and titles may mean nothing. We will keep you posted once the NCAA releases more information.

Breaking News…

Word coming out of Athens today is that Head Coach DeAndre Boss will be resigning as the head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs. This comes just days after we got word of an NCAA investigation into the program and Coach Boss. There is no word yet from the NCAA but we are told a press conference will be held tomorrow about the ongoing investigation in Athens. As always we will keep you posted as news breaks.

The NCAA has just finished their press conference about the investigation into recruiting and academic allegations against the University of Georgia football program and Head Coach DeAndre Boss. The NCAA has concluded that during the time Coach Boss was in Athens that he had committed multiple major recruiting violations by allowing recruits to have contact with a sports agent listed a s a booster. This contact included allowing the booster access to potential recruits so he could get under the table deal to represent them when they turn pro. The NCAA also found that Coach Boss requested that player high school transcripts be altered to allow admission into Georgia and asked members of the schools admission office to allow in football players that didn’t meet the schools admission standards. There is also evidence he urged students to enroll in a fake online classes only offered to football players. The listed professor for those classes was a member of the coaching staff.

As part of a deal reached between the NCAA and the University of Georgia, Coach Boss had the remaining 3 years of his contract terminated. The NCAA has ruled that DeAndre Boss will never be allowed to coach at any college again by giving him a life time ban. As part of the deal to avoid further lawsuits from the University of Georgia, Coach Boss has agreed to play back half of his 30.5 million he had already been paid from previous contracts with the school.

The NCAA also announced a five year probation for the football team and sanctions in recruiting. The recruiting sanctions will last for five years and include a reduction of just 60 scholarship players, no out of state recruiting, and suspension/removal of current players found to be in violation. The NCAA has allowed the team to carry a total of 65 player on its roster thus allowing for 5 walk-ons. At the end of the five year period the NCAA will look at the program again to determine if they will have the sanctions removed. If at that time the NCAA feels the violations are still being committed by the University or its staff then further harsher sanctions will be imposed. The real surprise is that Georgia will not receive any post-season ban.

A list of current players involved listed by the NCAA as having involvement will be released in the coming days just as recruiting seasons is heating up. The search for a new head coach is underway as well. Sources close to the AD's office says that the school is looking at 2 former players, but both have limited coaching experience with no head coaching experience.
The list of sanctions for the next 5 seasons 2026-2031

-Reduction of scholarship players to 60; this does not include the players added that I don’t offer; transfers count towards next seasons roster #.

-A 5 non scholarship player max; roster total of 65; transfers count towards next seasons number.

-No out of state recruiting for the next 5 seasons.

-Players on the “Life Time Ban” list must be removed before the start of the 2026 season.

-Suspended players will be on probation so any incident during the suspension period will result in a “Life Time Ban” from college football.

-After the 2031 season the NCAA will decided to extend the sanctions for 5 more years or remove the program from probation.

The University of Georgia has just released word that they will be hiring Aaron Murray as their next head coach. Murray played quarterback for Georgia from 2009-2013. When Murray left Georgia he held the school records for Tds, wins, and held several SEC records as well. He was a 5^th round draft pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013. After 6 seasons with the team Murray decided to retire due to some injuries and joined the Chiefs coaching staff under Andy Reid. Murray was named the QB coach for the 2022 season. Murray played under Mark Richt who was replaced by DeAndre Boss. With the NCAA coming down hard on the program Murray has a difficult task ahead of him.

Newly hired head coach Aaron Murray just finished a press conference introducing him as the next head coach at Georgia. Some points he made was restoring the program as a pillar of the SEC and the NCAA. He also urged fans to not blame this team because all the “cheaters” are now gone.
While Murray was at the mic in Athens the NCAA was releasing the current players names that will have any and all eligibility revoked meaning their college careers are over. See the full list below…

Head Coach Aaron Murray held his first press conference since his announcement as the new head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs. In the press conference he was asked about what kind of offense and defense fans can expect to see the Bulldogs running next season. While under Coach Boss it was a mix of “12” personal and a lot of “Gun” formations. Coach Murray said he would be running the same playbook he ran while at Georgia playing under Mark Richt. As for the defense it will be a 3-4 defense which he became familiar with while at Georgia and with the Chiefs.


He also announced an open battle for the starting quarterback position, starting corner opposite of All-American James Hicks, a former #1 ranked corner in his class and 5 star recruit. Spring practice should be full of storylines as position battles play out and other positions are evaluated.

Interesting concept you got here jbrew. I'll have to revisit the "How's Your Dynasty" forum to brush up on your work.

Yeah I agree, trying to put a lot of detail into a dynasty can cause burn-out. I find what helps me is to simply take a break from it for a week or two. Then my internal battery re-charges & I'm all excited to work on it again. I like the "building teams into powerhouses" dynasties a lot, but I'm pretty sure my next NCAA project will be a Coaching dynasty (since I've never done one of those before).

Thanks for reading. I got some more stuff coming today. It looks like the 2026 season want see as much fall off but limiting myself to 10 recruits, looks like all I can sign with the limits I have placed, it will be hard to have depth. So I may be playing guys that are not ready if injuries occur.

Spring Update: G-Day Game

After a great couple of weeks of spring practice the period ended with the popular G-Day game where fans filled Sanford Stadium to see former Bulldog great Aaron Murray take over the program that has been hit hard by NCAA sanctions and the demise of the DeAndre Boss era. The fans were given a great scrimmage to watch. Some players that really stood out were last seasons Heisman winner, Stephen Diggs, who returns for his 5^th and final season in Athens. Red shirt freshman receiver Chad Johnson showed off his speed by beating the defense deep for 2tds and finishing the day with 127yds. The quarterback battle between R.J. Martin, a 5^th year senior and last years starter, and Josh Carter, a red shirt freshman and former #1 ranked QB in his class, proved to be a great battle all day. Martin, who threw 5 picks in last years BCS title game against New Mexico, hit Chad Johnson deep on the first play of the game for his first of two touchdown grabs. Carter answered back driving the 2^nd team offense down field for short TD run by fellow red shirt freshman tailback Damon Price. Both quarterbacks ended the day with 1 TD pass each but Martin threw yet another pick. After the game Coach Murray said no starting quarterback would be decided until Fall camp starts.


The team also announced that linebacker Tony Barrow, a 5^th year senior, will move to right end after weighing in at 265lbs. The move will give Barrow more playing time and fill a much need hole on the defense. The battle for who will start at the only open offensive line sport, right guard, will continue into Fall camp with red shirt sophomore Charles Church battling red shirt freshman Michael Moore, there is also word that one of the tackles might move inside to fill the role if needed.
Position Battle Breakdown:

*QB:

-R.J. Martin is a red shirt senior who has a lot of playing experience including 8 starts last year. He has the ability to run if needed but prefers to play from the pocket.
-Josh Carter is a red shirt freshman who was the #1 ranked QB in his class. He came to Athens with tons of hype having won the Elite 11 and passed for over 300yds in the Under Amour All-Star Game. He is a pure pocket passer with a strong arm and a huge upside.

*RG

-Charles Church is a red shirt sophomore who got some playing experience last season but mostly in mop up duty. He is a former 3 star Athlete who was recruited to play on the d-line but moved to guard once he got to fall camp and showed off his blocking abilities. He has great footwork and really drives people off the line but he only played on the offensive line in 3 games in high school.
-Michael Moore is a red shirt freshman who is also a former 3 star recruit. Moore is a big kid at 6’5” and 330lbs who has really good strength in the weight room but does not always use it in games. He dominated at times in high school against quality talent but against less talent he struggled. Moore impressed the new staff during practice but showed signs of his former self.

*OLB:

-George Bush is a true freshman who was a 5 star recruit and the #1 ranked outside linebacker in his class. He is undersized at 5’11” but he is a tackling machine. The guy has a high motor and is always around the ball. His ability to shed blocks and his size may cause him to struggle in a 3-4 base defense but his speed and motor will get him on the field some way.
-Ricky Evans is a red shirt junior who is a former walk-on. He enrolled at Georgia because he grew up a fan turning down offers from other smaller schools. Evans is not the biggest or fastest linebacker but he is smart and just finds ways to make plays. He does struggle in coverage which hurt him in the 4-2-5 system that was ran under Coach Boss, but in the 3-4 he can do the one thing he is good at, rush the passer. He has seen most of his playing time to this point on special teams and in mop-up duty.

*CB:

-Brandon Herring is a junior and a former JuCo player. He is undersized at 5’9” but on the field he plays much bigger. He is very good in coverage and has shown willingness to help out in the run. Herring is a guy that has overcome a lot of off the field stuff to get to where he is now. If the staff is looking for someone to just get them through until Kent Singleton returns from suspension then Herring may be the best option.
-Travis Hayes is a true freshman and former 5 star recruit who was ranked as the 3^rd best corner in his class. He is tall at 6’2” and has sprinters speed, he was a high school track champion in California. Hayes is great at locking up on those taller receivers but he did struggle during the Under Amour practices to match up against fellow Bulldog receiver Todd Holloway. It will help Hayes to get on the field in the fall since he enrolled early enough to play in the G-Day game. If he loses out to Herring then he will be the nickel corner to start the season.

Position Battle Update:

QB: The quarterback position still remains undecided at this time. R.J. Martin and Josh Carter will continue to both get work with the first team offense. This battle may go until days before the opening game at Ole Miss.


RG: After a couple of good weeks of practice and the annual G-Day Game Coach Murray has decided that red shirt sophomore Charles Church will start at RG over Michael Moore. The decision came after senior center Wayne Dunn urged the coaching staff to go with Church. Sources tell us that Moore has had some issues with his teammates in the locker room and that the staff has told Moore he is on his last chance to stay at Georgia. This may be a story that continues beyond spring practice. Senior right tackle Joe Holt is listed as the back-up to Church on the post spring depth chart.


OLB: True freshman George Bush has won the starting outside linebacker spot opposite fellow outside linebacker Jeff Sims, a red shirt freshman and former 4 star recruit and #7^th ranked OLB in his class. Bush will have one job this fall, go get the football according to the defensive coaching staff. The staff also raved about his leadership and how much his team mates respected him.


CB: Looks like junior corner Brandon Herring will win the job opposite of All-American James Hicks. Herring will have his work cut out for him since Hicks is a ball hawking, lock down corner that most quart backs try to avoid. As expected Hayes will play nickel but we will all have to wait and see what happens once red shirt junior Kent Singleton returns from his suspension. Sources have said the new staff has taken issue with Singleton’s lack of maturity during this suspension and are not sure he has a place on this team once he serves his 8 games.

Recruiting Report: Pre-Season

* Nick Richard-LB; 6’2” 204lbs; Chamblee, GA.; 4 star and #4 ranked OLB

Top 3: UGA, Tenn, Bama

Report: Nick is a very fast linebacker that is great in coverage. He has sideline to sideline speed that will allow him to cover tightends or slot receivers. Nick lacks the idea weight need to play the run, an are he struggles with in high school. If he can add some weight while keeping his speed Nick can be an every down linebacker in most 4-3 and 3-4 base sets. At this time he is projected best to play in a system that allows him to play in coverage or move to safety.
* Matt Evans-LB; 6’3” 213lbs; Carrolton, GA.; 5 star and #1 ranked OLB

Top 3: UGA, Purdue, Florida

Report: Matt has great strength for his size. He is able to get off blocks to make plays in the run game. Matt struggles in coverage something he will need to improve open at the next level to be an every down player. Matt accumulates a lot of tackles at the high school level but may not translate to the next level. If he can add some weight and improve his pass coverage then Matt could become a great college linebacker.

* Nick Carter-ATH; 6’1” 225lbs; Belvedere Park, GA.; 5 star and #1 ranked ATH

Top 3: UGA, GT, ECU

Report: Nick is an interesting athlete recruit. He has been a four year start during his high school career playing four different positions each season. As a freshman he played receiver, as a sophomore he played tightend, as a junior he played tailback, and as a senior he is playing quarterback. He has good enough speed to play tailback at the next level, but his size and speed make him ideal for a system that ask him to run between the tackles and downhill. While he lack breakaway speed he does have the strength to shed tackles and pick up yards after contact. As a quarterback Nick has shown a strong arm and the ability to make most throws. He is limited in experience at the quarterback position but with proper coaching could fit well in a “Read” system. Nick also plays baseball and is projected to be a 1^st round pick so he may never play college football or he may look at schools that will allow him to play both.

* William Brown-DT; 6’5” 274lbs; Newnan, GA.; 4 star and #4 ranked DT

Top 3: UGA, Bama, Notre Dame

Report: William is a tall strong kid who loves to play the run. He has the frame to add weight at the next level or could be moved to DE. William lacks ideal speed need to be a pass rusher but is very good at getting off blocks to play the run. William is able to overpower at the high school level so he may need time to adjust to higher levels of talent. He also plays basketball in high school.

* Jay Harris-ATH; 5’10” 205lbs; Fort Valley, GA.; 5 star and #7 ranked ATH

Top 3: UGA, Bama, Tenn

Report: Harris is another tricky recruit to pin down for the position he will play at the next level. He is asked to do a lot at the high school level including playing tailback, receiver, and defensive back. He has good natural hands and a good understanding of route running to play receiver at the next level but lacks ideal size. Harris is a good one cut back that likes to run downhill and has the ability to break long runs. On defense he has played mostly as a safety where he would have to play at the next level as well due to his average coverage skills. He often misses tackles at the high school level so that will be an area that needs to improve at the next level. Harris is the starting point guard on his high school basketball team and has offers from 4 non FBS football schools for basketball. He ma be looking to walk-on to a basketball team at the college he chooses.

* Tom Parker-T; 6’6” 310lbs; Moultrie, GA.; 3 star and #34 ranked Tackle

Top 3: UGA, S. Car, Bama

Report: Tom is a large kid who loves to block. He has above average pass and run blocking skills. Tom has good footwork and strength but relies on his size to much. He is projected as a right tackle now but with improvement in his pass blocking ability and he could be a good left tackle at the next level. If Parker played in a better high school program then he might have been ranked much higher.

* Ron Nolen-G; 6’5” 286lbs; Rome, GA.; 4 star and #7 ranked Guard

Top 3: GT, Vandy, UGA

Report: Nolen is a large kid that loves to run block. He has very good run blocking skills but needs to work on his pass blocking skills at the next level to be a complete guard. In high school Nolen plays in a “Wing Option” offense so the transition to another system will require time. Nolen could play right tackle at the next level if needed and could play as a freshman in a run based offense.

* Craig Douglas-WR; 6’2” 209lbs; Atlanta, GA.; 5 star and #2 ranked WR

Top 3: UGA, ND, Bama

Report: Craig has the size, speed, and route running abilities you are looking for to be a top level receiver at the next level. He has benefited greatly from playing in a passing offense in high school. Douglas comes from a football family, his father is Harry Douglas a former receiver for the Atlanta Falcons.

* Emmanuel Graham-G; 6’3” 288lbs; Villa Rica, GA.; 3 star and #26 ranked Guard

Top 3: UGA, S. Car, UCF

Report: Graham is an above average pass blocker. He lacks experience and footwork in run blocking due to playing in a pass only system in high school. Graham is very raw as a football player having only played two years. He was adopted and moved to the United States just four years ago. He will need time to develop but with his size and potential he could be a really good guard or center at the next level.

* Brian Moss-QB; 6’5” 201lbs; Rome, GA.; 3 star and #45 ranked QB

Top 3: UGA, USA, UNC

Report: Moss has ideal size to play the position at the next level. He has average arm strength and above average accuracy. Moss does have the ability to move around in the pocket but lack ideal speed to be considered a dual threat QB. Moss has only started 1 year in high school so he will need some time to improve his passing skills. In the right system and with time Moss could become a starter at the next level.

2026 Season Outlook:

Team: This team has been through a lot since that lose in the Rose Bowl for a BCS title against New Mexico. Twenty players from last years team graduated or were kicked out of school. The NCAA has placed some heavy recruiting sanctions on the team that will impact future years, but this years team still has a lot of talent. There was one thing DeAndre Boss did very well and that was recruit and develop players. This team is full of potential NFL talent but that does not equal wins. This team will have to overcome all the off-season mess, a new coaching staff, and running a new offensive and defensive systems. The 2026 team still starts the season ranked #1 in the Pre-Season polls and is the favorite to win the SEC yet again, but the games are played on the field where Georgia might struggle due to depth issues and if injures occur in mass.
SEC Outlook: The SEC has not been as strong as it was in the early 2000s but this year may be the return of the conference overall. Along with Georgia starting the season at #1, Alabama and Florida join them in the top 10 with rankings of 4^th and 8^th respectively. Vandy returns a lot of players and is lead by 2^nd team All-SEC QB Dan Utley so they are one to watch in the East. Ole Miss looks to build on last years success and senior tailback Matt Bonner returns to prove he is the best back in the SEC. Texas A&M has been the model of inconsistency in the 4 years under Troy Calhoun but senior tailback Teddy Webb is in the running for a Heisman which could lead to big things in College Station.
　
Position Outlook:
QB: The starting spot is down to 2 players, R.J. Martin and Josh Carter. Martin has all the experience and is a senior; while Carter has all the potential and is just a freshman. They are both learning a new system so who ever can learn the quickest will help this team the most.
HB/FB: The tailback spot is the one area of no concern for Coach Murray. Senior Stephen Diggs returns for his senior year and a second Heisman. He should get the ball a ton to have a chance of winning it again. He will split some carries between red shirt junior Aaron Coley and red freshman Damon Price. The fullback position belongs to transfer Anthony Bryant who sit out last season after transferring in from NCST.
WR/TE: There is not a single receiver that returns that has caught a college pass. Red shirt freshman Chad Johnson, no kin of OchoCico, is the best of the group with true freshman Todd Holloway looking like a future star. The tightend position is a different story with Reggie Heard retuning after an amazing true freshman season where he caught 67 passes and recorded 8tds. If the unproven group of receivers are not open then who ever is playing QB can always look Heards way.
OL: Three starters return from last year including senior captain Wayne Dunn. The real question mark is the two new starters at guard in red shirt sophomore Charles Church and true freshman Michael Wilson. If Diggs is to have another big season then this line has to block for him.
DL: The d-line is the one area of this team with little to no question marks. Red shirt senior Tony Barrow has moved to RE from LB so his play at his new position may be questioned but he played on the line in Coach Boss’s 4-2-5 defense where he often used linebackers at the 2 DE spots. The Dts are lead by red shirt juniors Cedric Taylor and Tony Meyer. Both players are future NFL players and the line will only improve after another future NFL prospect, Preston James, returns from his suspension.
LB: The linebackers are young and lack experience. Two freshman will be starting on the outside in George Bush and Jeff Sims. The middle will be held down by senior and former walk-on Collin Rodgers who will replace the suspended Reggie Pittman and red shirt freshman Randle Tate. This group will be asked to do a lot in the new 3-4 system and may be the difference in how well this defense plays in 2026. The return of Pittman will only help this unit.
DB: The corner position is all about one man, James Hicks, who returns for his senior year and looking to be the #1 pick in the draft. Herring will start opposite him and Hayes will man the slot receivers. The safeties are lead by senior Wendell Coleman, but with suspended SS Ryan Barnes out 4 games, red shirt sophomore Alex Rivers who is listed as a FS. This group offers little depth so 1 injury could spell disaster.
K/P: Not much to say here other than the 2025 Groza winner Jeremy Billings returns for his junior year and is looking for that 60 yarder, he got a 58 last season. Scott Gray returns to improve on his 3^rd place finish in the Ray Guy award last season. Just get the ball within 60 yards and you have 3 points or Gary will pin you inside the 20 with his booming punts.

I love this idea. Great write ups and big fan of Aaron Murray (surely he'll have a long last career IRL! Go Chiefs!).

I think what you wrote about the WR's not having any experience catching a pass in college was funny. It is ironic because the coach is a former QB, looking forward to this!
