Relocating the Jags to London was fun, especially for a Brit but I do like the depth you can get when you keep a team in it's proper place.

Thankfully no money struggles for me though Cheese - coach mode not owner mode.

The defense seemed to be decent enough with Casey brought back in to the middle but the offense just needed a lot of work.

I drafted Dwight Kenny because he was just a much better prospect than Mettenberger. I like Mettenberger, especially his throwing power, but his short accuracy, awareness and play-action were simply not good enough for the offense that I want to run.

Hope that clears stuff up for you.

Kenny Picks Up First Win In Tight Game

Pittsburgh Steelers 24 - 31 Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans had an old fashioned feel to them this week as they battled the Pittsburgh Steelers. In a league of high-scoring passing attacks and spread formation passers it was a call back to older days to see the Titans relying so heavily on their fullback and power running game. All of this was to the benefit of their rookie quarterback Dwight Kenny who performed very well, especially in the first half, and picked up the win. Kenny's connection with fullback Benjamin Fuller, a forth round draft pick, was superb and the Steelers seemed unsure about how to deal with the cannonball from Nebraska as he broke tackle after tackle. Fuller gave Kenny an option out of the backfield that always seemed to be open and he caught 11 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown.

The Steelers' offense was anemic through the first 3 quarters, only scoring 3 points, as Big Ben Roethlisberger struggled to find a rhythm against the aggressive blitzing from the Titans. It didn't help that poor time management from the coaching staff left the Steelers in the redzone at the end of the second quarter with no time left on the clock for a play and no time-outs to call. The Steelers came to life in the 4th quarter though with 2 Le'Veon Bell touchdowns bringing Pittsburgh back into the game. A quick touchdown pass following a Quay Bynes fumble left the game tied and all the momentum with the Steelers. After forcing a 3 and out it seemed that Roethlisberger was primed to drive down the field and claim the win, however one errant pass found Titans cornerback Will Blackmon who returned the interception 63 yards for the winning touchdown.

The Titans will need to look to improve their focal point of their offense though as their running game stuttered against a strong Pittsburgh front 7. Bishop Sankey was only able to make 66 yards gain on the ground, although he did account for 2 touchdowns, and Quay Bynes was hit for a loss far too many times. The Titans' 3rd down back, Roy Helu Jr, only came into play in the passing game but he was able to take a screen pass for 39 yards. If the Titans are going to continue to improve then they need to work more on making positive yards past the gain line on every run.

Game Notes
Sep 20 - This will be the first game in a 3 game away streak for the Titans and the first away game for rookie quarterback Dwight Kenny who played well against Pittsburgh last week.

The Buccaneers suffered a tough loss to the Houston Texans last week and will be hoping to avoid 2 losses in a row against AFC South opposition. However they have a big hurdle to overcome as they are missing two of their starting offensive line against a blitz-happy Titans defense.
