3 Keys to Victory for Auburn

1. Stop Dak Prescott from Running

If we keep him in the pocket, he can't hurt us nearly as bad. He stays in the pocket, we should force a turnover or two.

2. Play Defence like last Week

If we can get 12 sacks again, we're going to be 3 and 0 on the year and get our first SEC win on the year.

3. Use Nick Marshall

He can run. He can throw. He's a Heisman candidate. He's Nick Marshall. Auburn better use him effectively.

Re: Tales From Jordan-Hare ~ An Auburn Tigers Dynasty

Disappointing

That was ugly.

Auburn fell 57-28 against Mississippi State in maybe the worst game Auburn has ever played.

The game started with a 3 yard reception from Trovon Reed however a missed kick gave Auburn only a 6 point lead. After an Adam Lester field goal cut the lead in half, Auburn added another touchdown from Jaylon Denson on a 64 yard reception, with a failed 2-point try.

Mississippi State added 19 unanswered point in the second quarter. The first seven came from Jameon Lewis on a reception from the one yard line to cut Auburn's lead to 2. Another Lester field goal gave Mississippi State a one point lead before Dak Prescott 19 tuck and run gave them a lead they would never relinquish. Finally, after a Nick Marshall interception, Prescott would throw an interception to Jermaine Whitehead. Just after the interception though, our safety would fall in the end zone resulting in a safety.

The third quarter began with 2 more Mississippi State touchdown, the first from Nick Griffin a 28 yard reception and the next coming from a 22 yard run. Ricardo Louis added a 6 yard reception from Kiehl Frazier, after Marshall went down with an injury. Auburn would add 2. Now, with 6 seconds left in the 3rd quarter, Mississippi State would fake a punt, up by 16, and they would score on a Jahmere Irvin-Stills 46 yard reception to drive a dagger into Auburn's heart.

The final quarter had no intensity. Tre Mason would add a TD and that would be as close as Auburn got. Mississippi State would add 14 more point off of a Prescott 36 yard run and a Malcolm Johnson 8 yard reception to drive Auburn's record to 2-1 on the year.

Ouch, rough loss against Miss St. They really took it to you.

Good job so far though.

We played terrible throughout quarters 2-4. Also, that injury to Nick Marshall may hurt us for more than just this week.

I like it. It's a combination of guru, ksw, and my Bowling Green dynasty.

And by that, you must either be meaning the rather intricate, concise recaps, HTML box score, or the absolutely vast, completely and utterly useless arsenal of knowledge I...I mean we... can throw at you at any given second about our teams. Right? Haha.

As an aside, anyone else think that when GravyBoat had the line about the Huskies in that Around the NCAA he meant UConn, not Washington? LOL. I'm poisoned.

FWIW, I like the new look. But do whatever you wish, I had the same old format in my Kentucky dynasty ( ) and was effective. Partially because I didn't know the HTML tables existed for about 7 months.

Game Notes
Last Meeting:
Texas A&M 45-21 Auburn

3 Keys to Victory for Auburn

1. Make Sure Kiehl Frazier has Time to Throw

This game starts with the big boys up front. If they have a good game, we have a shot at my greatest upset.

2. Keep Johnny Football At Bay

The Original Johnny (Enter Sport Name Here) is good. We keep him at bay we have 2/3 boxes checked off. Dak Prescott was our warmup and it didn't go well, let's hope for a better result.

3. Play Loose

We have nothing to lose. We play loose, we can knock off a top team. We aren't expected to win so let's take chance.

And finally, let's end with some Eminem:

"Cause you'll never take my pride from me
It'll have to be pried from me, so pull out your pliers and your screwdrivers!
But I want you to doubt me, I don't want you to believe
Cause this is something that I must use to succeed"
