This game had a very unusual ending...
The only score of the 1st quarter was a Pick-Six by Tennessee Safety Byron Moore as he jumped the route that was ran by Freshman star WR Dorial Green-Beckham and took it 27 yards to the endzone. Missouri would respond later in the 2nd half with a 36 yard field goal and then take the lead later in the 2nd quarter on a 22 yard pass from James Franklin to 6'5" WR Marcus Lucas in the corner of the endzone on a jump ball. So, heading in to halftime, the score was 10-7 Missouri.
Missouri struck first in the 2nd half on a 5 yard run by backup HB Marcus Murphy who was tackled forward into the endzone by Vols LB Curt Maggitt. Tennessee would respond with a 20 yard FG with just over 1:30 left in the quarter to make the score 17-10 heading into the 4th quarter.
Tennessee gained the lead halfway through the 4th quarter. First off, K Michael Palardy made a 37 yard FG to cut the Missouri lead to just 4. Then, on Missouri's next drive, CB Justin Coleman intercepted QB James Franklin and returned the ball 63 yards to the endzone to put the Vols up by a score of 20-17. Tennessee forced a Missouri 3 and out and they punted the ball away. Tennessee was then put in a 3rd and 11 situation and when Justin Worley dropped back to pass, he was pressured and made a bad decision and his pass was intercepted by Safety Matt White and it was returned 39 yards for the eventual game winning TD. So, thanks to the games 3rd Pick-Six, Missouri wins this game by a final score of 24-20.

Game Notes
The Volunteers are on a 4 game losing streak... And even though they have played some really close games with some of the top teams in the SEC, I believe that streak will increase to 5 straight losses with the Auburn Tigers coming into town." - Kirk Herbstreit

Auburn absolutely dominated the first half. In the first quarter they could only muster up a 29 yard Field Goal to put them ahead 3-0. On the 1st play of the 2nd quarter however, QB Jeremy Johnson threw a 47 yard bomb to Trovon Reed, who got behind the Tennessee secondary and scored easily on the huge TD catch. Auburn would then score one more time in the half as QB Jeremy Johnson eluded the sack and scrambled 8 yards for the TD. So, going into halftime the score was 17-0 Auburn.
Auburn would then extend the lead even further when Johnson connected with Reed for the 2nd time in the game, this time on a 34 yard post route over the middle of the field in double coverage as Reed made a spectacular catch in the endzone for the TD. Tennessee finally responded with a TD of their own as QB Justin Worley kept the read option and scored on the 6 yard TD run.
Tennessee would score twice in the 4th quarter but that wouldn't be enough. The first score was a 25 yard TD pass to WR Devrin Young as Young was wide open on his streak route right in the middle of the field and Worley threw a perfect pass. Tennessee's 2nd score came when Worley dumped off a pass to TE Brendan Downs who was open in the right corner of the endzone on what was a slant play call. So, Tennessee was back within 3 points. But, Auburn recovered the onside kick and ran the clock out from there with HB Cameron Artis Payne to seal the deal. So, the Auburn Tigers escape Knoxville with a 24-21 victory.
And with this loss, Tennessee can only get to 5 wins, which is not enough to be bowl eligible.
