Awesome to see you still have this going. Still incredibly jealous of the scrolling top 25 lol.

Definitely a tough loss for us in Benz. I am hoping we will not have to burn the redshirt on Richard at this point. Redshirt freshman Dustin Bryant will get the start next game and possibly the game after if Iannotti is still not back. Bryant was a two star recruit in my inaugural class from Montreal. He is similar to Benz but lacks the experience and arm strength. We will probably look to simplify our passing attack and lean on the running game even more. Although Ohio looks to be one of the better conference foes we have faced all season. If anything happens to Bryant though we will have to burn the redshirt and insert Richard. At that point, I would probably redshirt Richard next season, as he is still probably a few years from being our starter. Thanks for checking in my friend!

Thanks man! We continue to roll along here at Eastern Michigan. This is by far my favorite dynasty report I have ever run. If you would ever like help learning how to use HTML marquee code that creates the scrolling effect, feel free to PM me. Thanks again for following along!

Re: Year 3 (2013), Game 8, Preview

Whoa....I leave town for a few days and come back to a ton of updates. Man do I really miss being able to play at this pace! haha

That Ball State game looks like it was a blast. That kickoff return TD to open the second half really set the tone. Hell of a day for Reggie Johnson. Looks like you may have your own star Reggie in the making. Without going back to look, how many return TDs does Johnson have? Was that his first? How many have you returned in all during this dynasty, approximately? That is definitely one well done aspect in these games - the rarity of return TDs.

Great dominating defensive win versus the rival Western Michigan. Run game and solid defense - very hard to beat that combo, both on the game and in real life.

5-2 through seven games. Really love the progression of this dynasty overall. You guys are on the come-up, winning, but not dominating. I'm sure you're looking forward to the day you're dominating
like my Green Wave haha, but this is very entertaining to see the come-up in its early stages.

Good luck versus Ohio....huge matchup and could be a MAC title game preview.

DJ Rhude....Glad to see you're still around my friend. Hope all is well. I googled your name a while back hoping to see a bevvy of dynasty reports and was sadly disappointed.

Hope to see you around often and maybe gracing us with another report some day. I just got back in the game myself after a long, several year break. This itch never leaves you bro. See you around!

Haha, yeah I really took off here with the reporting with all the down time in between exams. Things will slow down a little bit here around the holiday since I am leaving town for nine days to visit my folks with the girlfriend. I will try to distribute a few updates here and there during that time.

The Ball State game was something else. We were really lucky to be able to keep pace with them. Their two transfers (Glaser and Evans) instantly made Ball State into MAC contenders this year. A big turnaround from the previous record of 2-22 that they compiled in the first two seasons.

Reggie Johnson is a kid I am really high on. He was probably our top recruit last season. A three star prospect from Iowa, he has all the athletic talent in the world. With his 6'6" size and 96 speed, he is a physical monster. The problem is and what probably held him back from being a much higher rated prospect is his catching which is an abysmal 63, while his spectacular catch is a 73. So right now he is a bit of an all or nothing guy, he can make an insane catch down the field and then drop the wide open ones in the flats. I am hoping his catching will develop with time as he progresses. Right now I have him in the slot position and as our return specialist. I have a couple of screen and gadget plays we mix in occasionally just trying to get him the ball in space where he can show off that speed. As a returner, he is probably the best I have ever had. So far this season he has three kick returns for touchdowns. He will move into the WR2 role next season with Nick Olds graduating.

Overall, I am really happy with how we are progressing as a program. We still have a long ways to go before we are a consistent program but it's baby steps. I am still in the process of getting more of "my players" into the system. The recruiting prior to coach Clayton was quite abysmal so we are really lacking depth at certain positions and there are parts of my defense that I feel like are held together by scotch tape and popsicle sticks. We are getting there though. I am very much looking forward to the day we pick up a win against a foe from a major conference.

Should be a good game against Ohio. They are actually one of the few MAC opponents I have yet to face (the only other being Bowling Green). They have a very solid team all the way around. If I had to place bets though I think Miami still has to be the favorite of the MAC East.

Thank you for checking my friend and the great feedback! I love it!

Re: A Rising Storm in the North | Cheese's Eastern Michigan Dynasty

Love seeing how well your defense is playing and the running game clicking on the other side. Sometimes when it rains, it pours with injuries at certain spots. It stinks when it happens at the most important position on the field though, obviously. Looks like Tremayne Smith is getting at least one sack per game, always nice to get that push in the middle.

Hopefully Thomas and Humphrey can continue to shoulder the load in the running game and Vaughn or Johnson can make a big play in the pass game when they stack the box (or on the returns, in the case of Johnson) to make it easier on the redshirt freshman!

Appreciate it fellas......I miss dynasty reporting but unfortunately just haven't had as much time as I used to.......if I ever got back into doing them they wouldn't be nowhere as detailed as they used to be

Good to see both of you around though, I'll be checking in often
