Wow, was the SEC that much tougher than the Pac-12? Did Oregon (and Arizona, who also finished with one loss) just not play anyone difficult in non-conference?
You're right that beating a bigger in-state school should give you some bragging rights and help lift recruiting heading into the offseason!
