This is just a reorganization of my first Dynasty here on OS because I felt whenever I switched games I needed to restart a lot of the dynasty and then I wound up having to delete a bunch, but here I can just start fresh still continuing from the other thread and I hope to make it last for a long time. I have been taking notes on excel forever, but thought it would be fun to put it up on here. This dynasty will be following Texas Tech, a school that I love dearly. I welcome any and all comments so feel free to post once I say it is ok.

Offense: Spread (More balanced than they have been historically, but it works for me)

House Rules: (Mostly PocketScouts but with a few changes)
Players Leaving Early: If player is projected in first three rounds in Draft or 90+, I can not persuade them to stay if they declare.
Strength of Schedule: Must make difficulty of schedule be A+
Recruiting: Can only schedule 3 visits all year long. No scouting is allowed. Can only recruit inside Texas except for 3 recruits a year that have me as top choice at beginning of year.
Class size is determined by Seniors Leaving +1

This dynasty is going to be a Relegation/ Promotion style Dynasty with a four team playoff at the end of the year to determine who the True National Champion is by using PocketScouts editor. To get into the playoff is very simple, be a Conference Champion of one of the Big 4 Conferences that I have set up based on Timeetyo Relegation System. The idea is that each conference is based on region, which has caused recruiting to become more local battles for top recruits. Having done this system for a while now I have yet to see anyone from outside the Elite Tier make it into National Championship game.

How it works: My system is based on Timeetyo's system, but instead of getting locked into a conference for a couple of years, each team has to constantly be proving it self to either gain promotion or avoid Relegation. In order to gain promotion to a higher Conference you have to either win your conference or finish first in your division and have help from the above conference. In order to maintain competitive balance, the division that has a team promoted or relegated will gain the team that was just promoted or relegated to it. Below is how Year 1 in this Dynasty looks and each year I will give an update on who has been Promoted/Relegated to/from each conference.
Tie Breakers:
1) Overall Record
2) Conference Record
3) Head to Head
4) Record against teams with 8+ wins

Playoff:
The four conference Champions will be seeded based on BCS ranking, Overall Record, Conference Record, and Head to Head. The top two teams will get to host the two Semi-final games.

About Sonny Cumbie

Sonny Cumbie returned home to Texas Tech for his first Head Coaching job in 2012, where he was the quarterback from 2000-2004. He sat behind Kliff Kingsbury and B.J. Symmons for three seasons before getting to start in his senior season where he led the Red Raiders to an 8 – 4 record and led the Nation in Total Offense and Passing. Sonny Cumbie also led Tech over #4 Cal in the Holiday Bowl to cap off the year. Cumbie’s performance that year still ranks as number five on the all time passing yards in a season at Texas Tech and seventh best in NCAA history.

After realizing that the NFL was not going to come calling, Cumbie joined the Mike Leach staff as a Graduate Assistant. In 2005, Cumbie became a full time member of the staff as he became the Inside receivers coach. That season Tech receivers thrived under Cumbie piling up 4,146 yards and 39 TDs. During his first stint at Tech, Cumbie was able to coach a couple of 1000 yard receivers in Amendola and Crabtree.

Following the 2009 season, Cumbie got a call from Pete Carroll to coach receivers in Seattle for the NFL. While in Seattle, he was able to learn Pete’s 4-3 Under defensive scheme along with more of a ground and pound style of play calling. After being on the staff for two seasons, he interviewed for the newly open Head Coaching job at his Alma Mater Texas Tech.




After getting the nod from AD Kirby Hocutt, it did not take long before Sonny started bringing in former Red Raiders to join the staff. Among the notables were Eric Morris, who joined the staff as receivers coach/co-offensive coordinator and Mike Smith as co-defensive coordinator. He also brought in Matt Wallerstedt from Texas A&M as the Defensive Coordinator.
