Here's a look at the recruits who have committed to North Dakota State so far.

North Dakota State Bison Recruiting - 2015
NAMEPOSCLASSHOMETOWNHTWTCALIBER
Leon RossSSHSMoses Lake, WA6'1"205lbs
D.J. GreenwoodATHHSAnniston, AL6'1"191lbs
Frank McDonaldSSHSBoca Del Mar, FL6'1"218lbs

Leon Ross- Ross has all of the tools to be a top safety in the NCAA. He is fast and shows good hip movement . Has the ability to jump out of the stadium. Tackles and hits like a linebacker, but often gets lost in traffic. Needs to learn how to diagnose and react to plays more consistently. An above average zone defender he struggles in man coverage.

D.J.Greenwood
- Greenwood is quite possible the fastest recruit in this years class. A track star in in high school he holds the state of Alabama record for the 40 yard dash. He looks to have all of the tools needed to convert to a DB at the college level, but also has superb running skills and can sling the rock like Brett Favre.

Frank McDonald - McDonald is another hard hitting safety with a nose for the ball. He has limited speed and had tight hips. He projects as a back up and possible red shirt candidate.

Okay That does it for this edition of Bison illustrated. Be sure to check our end of the season edition. Until next time, Go Bisons!

Bison Central: Central Michigan Aftermath

Record Shattering Day leads to a Heart Racing Victory.

This will be a day long remembered by Bisons fans everywhere. In a see-saw battle that saw not one but two school records shattered, the North Dakota State Bisons defeated the Central Michigan Chippewas 35-31.

QB C. Wentz broke the school record early in the third quarter and now has 3585 yards with one game still left on the schedule. One of his top targets was Senior wideout R. Smith, who in his first game back after breaking his foot in week three hauled in 7 passes for 127 yards and a TD. Fellow WR C. wahlo Jr. also had a great day catching 8 balls for 106 yards. But it was HB S. Oguri who took the team on his shoulders and carried them into the endzone for a school record 4 times on the day. He finished with 132 yards on 28 carries.

The defense struggled picking up no sacks or interceptions, but did force a fumble late in the game to keep the Bison in the game. C. Heagle led the defense with 10 tackles all of them solo.

The game was a lot closer than it could have been considering the Bison held the ball for 24:28. The game got off to a bad start as QB C. Wentz threw a pick on the first drive of the game that resulted in a FG by CMU. The Chippewas would add a TD with a 4 yard run by D. Spalding to take an early lead 10-0 after one quarter.

Bison HB S. Ojuri owned the second quarter scoring on 2 TD from 1 yard out and 5 yards out. He was a terror all day long running roughshod over the Chippewas front seven. CMU would add another TD to go up 17-14 at intermission.

Both teams came out hot in the third trading touchdowns giving CMU a 3 point leading heading into the fourth. S. Ojuri would score his third TD of the day from 4 yards out early in the fourth to put the Bison up by 4. The Chippewas would answer back with a long drive culminating with a 5 yard pass from C. Rush A. Rice. Down by 3:10 left in the game CMU force the Bisons to go three and out and it looked like the game would be over. But then the defense finally made a play. AJ Von Voorhis delivered a bone rattle hit to CMU HBC. Rush who coughed up the ball. The bison offense then rumbled down the field culminating with S. Ohuri's record breaking, game winnng TD with :23 seconds left in the contest.

It was a much needed victory for the Bison who are now 2-5 on the season. The Chippewas who were 5-5 heading into the match now need to win next week in Eastern Michigan to become bowl eligible. North Dakota State will travel to Ball State to take on the the 4-7 Cardinals in their final game of the season. The game will be televised regionally on CBS.

Here's hoping for a final victory next week. Until then, Go Bison!

Bison Central: Ball State Aftermath

End Of Season OT Thriller Ends In heartbreak For The Bison.

What an amazing ball game to end the season. Both teams went back and forth like two prize fighters for four quarters and it still wasn't enough. Ball State got on the board first in an electrifying manner as return man R. Smith took one to 79 yards to the house. Early in the second WR R. Smith would score catch his last Touchdown as a Bison on a 3 yard pass from C. Wentz. Ball State would answer right back driving down the field and capping it of with 1 yard pass from J. Milas to D. Curry. Not to be outdone the Bison drove down the field until S. Ojuri Dove over the line into the endzone for a 1 yard TD.But the offenses weren't done yet. With :06 seconds left in the half J. Milas hit C. Shillings for an 8 yard TD strike to go up 21-14 at the half.

After a flurry of offense in the first half, neither team could get things going in the third until Bison HB S. Ojuri, rumbled into the endzone from 4 yards out. Tied going into the final quarter of final game of the season both offenses continued to sputter. Finally with 3:18 left in regulation Ball State scored on 1 yard pass to C. Lacanaria. The Bison offense came onto the field fired up and scored less than a minute later on a beautiful 14 yard pass to S. Ojuri. Yet again Ball State drove down the field until J. Milas hit J. williams in the corner of the endzone for a 14 yard score. With :29 seconds left Ball State thought it was finally over. That is until C. wentz hit R. Smith for a 48 yard bomb followed by a 13 yard TD strike to N. Moody who was nearly decapitated as he crossed the goal line.

North Dakota State received the ball first in overtime, but the offense must have gotten a case of the kitters as several dropped passes doomed them to settle for a 38 yard FG. If the defense could make a stop the game would belong to the Bison. A 25 yard TD strike to C. Lacanaria would end the Bison's dreams and their season.

Both teams fought hard and it was a well earned victory for Ball State. Now it's time for the Bisons to say goodbye to their seniors and prepare for next season. It may not have been a success in the win column, but hold your head high Bison fans. it was a season of broken records, a season where a Bison QB led the NCAA in passing yards and without a shadow of a doubt we proved we can hang with the big boys of the FBS. Until next season, Go Bison!

Re: Stampeding Into the BCS; A North Dakota State Dynasty

I just can't win for losing!

I tried to advance my dynasty to the bowl season and it keeps freezing in the exact same spot. I can start a new dynasty and all that -at least it looks like i can, didn't go all the way through the process, but it looks like my Bison Dynasty file is corrupted or something.

I really don't want to start another dynasty as I don't want people to lose interest thinking I'm going to keep jumping ship. But I really don't want to play through the same season again either. I guess I'll sleep on it and try the Bisons save one more time. I hope it works as I was exited to see where this would go.

Decision Time (poll)

Okay, it's time for me to make a decision. I have decided that unless my save somehow miraculously un corrupts itself that I really have no choice but to move on. Here is my plan on how to handle it.

At the end of this season Coach Wheeler will leave the Bison to accept another OC offer. To get to that point I will create a new dynasty with the new team. Here's where you all come in -assuming anyone is still keeping tabs on this. I am having a hard time deciding where to go next and I'd like you guys to vote on where Coach Wheeler goes next. You can post your choices and after a week or two -hopefully- there will be enough votes for me to choose a team.

Do if you are reading this, please tell me where you'd like to see Coach Wheeler coach next year.

Re: Stampeding Into the BCS; A North Dakota State Dynasty

It keeps freezing when you try to advance to bowl week? This may sound dumb but have you tried it with autosave off? That happened to me once and turning off autosave worked.

Re: Stampeding Into the BCS; A North Dakota State Dynasty

I'll definitely try that when I get home. It freezes in the exact same spot every time. It goes through the play style updates and starts simming the title games. When it gets to the MA -my conference- it freezes. I hope your idea works, as I am really enjoying this one and really want to see how next year goes.

*UPDATE* no dice, still freezing in the exact same spot. I think I'm going to try restarting the dynasty and sim the first year.It still sucks, but not much I can do at this point.
