From time to time I have needed help picking my dynasties playoff spots. I am going to use this thread to put the info out when I need help and if any of you guys need help please do the same.


The first three spots this season were easy since all three were undefeated power 5 conference champions. The last spot is a bit more tricky.

The game between Team A and Team B ended with
Team A winning 20-42. Team B's was missing their starting QB who was out with an injury. Backup QB lead Team B to a 17-7 lead at half but got injured and the third string QB could not move the ball well and Team A outscored them 35-3 in the second half. Now Team B has both the first string and second string QB healthy.


Who should get in 12-1 Conference Champion or the 11-2 team who beat them but lost their conference championship game?

This is a really tough one. Team A definitely had the stronger schedule it seems, I'm assuming they're in the SEC lol. But it's hard not to go with a 12-1 conference champion, especially when their one loss was to a strong team and with their backup quarterback. My vote goes to Team B.

I really like how you kept them anonymous as well, so that there would be no biased voting. Great idea with this thread pocket, I will most likely be asking for advice later in my dynasty as well!

For clarification they are in different conferences. Team A won the only game between the two schools.

Ill pop my vote in, but take it as you will as im far from an expert in College Football and its quirks etc

But this is my reasoning based on how id do it, not necessarily how the rules or expectations are in game/real life:

Team B
1 loss compared to 2
Conference Champions
Team A lost to a 6-6 team
Although they lost the Team A vs B matchup; there are circumstances in there to dispute why A is better than B.

Honestly i have no idea how the NCAA ranks its teams, we get College Football on TV in the UK, but thats as far as my knowledge goes.

So i doubt it helps, but its good for me to learn as id like to try to follow some of the dynasties on here and know whats happening

Team B. In the head to head game they were up 17-7 WITH THEIR 2ND STRING. With the 2nd string playing the entire game, let alone the starter, team B could be undefeated, with a guaranteed spot.

I was going to say Team B until you said Team A beat them. All that 2nd string, 3rd string QB nonsense doesn't matter. They played against each other, Team A won. What's the point in beating the other team if you get punished for not beating them while their starters were on the field? That's the not the fault of Team A. Team A is my vote.

Thanks guys for voting, I'm going to go first team to 5 votes gets the bid. Right now Team B up 4-1. I'm at a loss on which one to pick as I could go either way for all the reasons you guys have brought up so another group of eyes is helpful

I would of loved to of been the deciding vote for ya, but I have to agree with Knickerbocker. It doesn't matter what injuries a team had, if Team A beat Team B straight up I would have to go with A. Definitely a tough pick though since team B had such a strong resume outside of the loss to Team A.

After much deliberation I have to go with Team A as well. So that is 4-3. Can a couple more of you guys chime in so I can progress the dynasty this evening

Definitely Team A. Head to head win regardless of circumstances is the only tiebreaker needed.

I would say Team B. They lost to a team who made it to their conference championship game (Team A couldn't close out the season with a conference championship but Team B did. Also, team A lost to a 6-6.

Team B, the schedule is tougher and their lone loss was to a great team. Team A seems very inconsistent.

Team B mainly due to them being their conference champ and only having one loss (and that one loss being the "better loss"). Also, it seems they had a tougher schedule.

I'll leave it open to 6 cst (aka when I get home so I can play) and go with the team with the highest votes from their. Again thanks guys for the help
