I actually had a plan to work those into the story. You'll see pics of them before next season gameplay starts

Portland Announces Pieces of 2016 Schedule

College President and interim athletic director Henry Welch announced on Tuesday that the Trappers had begun to fill out their 2016 schedule. Playing as a Div-I FBS independant Portland has no conference obligations to adhere to. Welch announced today that Portland has agreed to a home and home series with the University of Massachussetts, and the University at Buffalo for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. In addition to the home and home series, Portland will be hosting the Maine Black Bears who currrently compete at the Div-I FCS level.

Recruiting Watch

Trappers pick up 3 more

Portland was able to secure 3 more crucial pieces of their 2015 recruiting class this week; 2* center J.R. Pino, 1*defensive tackle Sam Tyree, and 1* linebacker Freddy Brown.

J.R. Pino is the kind of guy you want in the middle of your offensive line. Smart, strong, and confident. J.R. excels at run blocking and should be able to open up holes in the middle for the Trappers backs to squeeze through.
Scouts Initial Rating: 58ovr
Scouts Actual Rating: 54ovr

Sam Tyree joins the already commited Jason Johnson and Jeff Hill on the defensive line. Sam Will mostly play inside at tackle, but could shift to end if the need arises.
Scouts Initial Rating: 53ovr
Scouts Actual Rating: 57ovr

Freddy Brown will fill the need at linebacker for the Trappers. He played mostly outside linebacker in high school, but may move to the inside linebacker role for Portland. Quick off the ball and excels at getting to the quarterback in blitz situations.
Scouts Initial Rating: 58ovr
Scouts Actual Rating: 61ovr

Stadium Nears Completion

Alumni Game set to open new stadium

Portland, Maine - As construction on Welch Field nears completion, it has been announced that the school's alumni will play in a flag football game on the new field. It will mark the first time that the stadium is opened to the public. Admission is free for all students and alumni, and $5 a person for anyone else interested in attending. Rumor has it that the Trappers 2016 football jerseys will also be unveiled at some point during the game.
