West Lafayette, IN --- The Virginia Tech Hokies traveled to Purdue and dominated the Boilermakers on their home turf, winning the game 35-7. The Hokies were clicking in all aspects of today's game. It was a true display of "Beamerball."

Purdue gave the appearance early on that they would be competitive, but when JC Coleman ran the kickoff back (after Purdue's TD that tied the game at 7) the momentum shifted. After stopping Purdue's next drive the Hokies took over on their own 30 yard line. On the first play of the drive JC Coleman struck again, taking the Buck Sweep 70 yards for a touchdown. From there it was all Hokies.

"I think going with Motley was the correct decision. The offense clicked better today than it has all season, and that relieved some of the pressure on the defense," coach Beamer said after the game. Beamer also spoke highly of JC Coleman's performance. His 268 all purpose yards and 2 touchdowns sparked the Virginia Tech victory.

The Hokies head in to their first bye week of the season with a 1-2 record.

*Photobucket is currently down, so once it is back up I'll add the game picture and do the weekly recap.

First win is the toughest! Congrats on a big win to hopefully turn the season around.

Way to get the first win. Coleman needs the ball more if he keeps putting up numbers like that.

Anywho, I'm here and reading along (albeit slowly). I'll always support an NCAA dynasty, so best of luck!

Happy to see you pick up that first win and really make a statement there with your ground game.

Definitely needed. Great to get it right before we really dive in to ACC play.

Being a scat back (I think he's like 5'9, 175) he won't be seeing more than 15 carries a game. 90% of the time he gets the ball it's outside the tackles. He's the big play man!
