Oct. 25, San Diego CA - Danny Woodhead ran for 23 yards in three plays that included a goal line touchdown to culminate a masterful drive by Philip Rivers to give the San Diego Chargers an overtime victory against the tough Oakland Raiders.
Rivers, who passed for 337 yards in 40 attempts, steered the Chargers back into the game after the Raiders led 20-14 at the end of the third quarter. Antonio Gates scored on s short pass to give the Chargers their first taste of the lead at 21-20 then at the start of the final two minuted stretched it to 29-20 after Keenan Allen caught a touchdown pass, his second in the game, and Philips completed a successful 2-point play. But Oakland wasn't finished, Derek Carr found Amari Cooper for his own touchdown pass then Sebastian Janikowski kicked a field goal to send the game into overtime.
