Game of the Week: #5 Georgia Bulldogs at #9 Clemson Tigers
Desmond: This'll be a very close game. These teams are pretty much equal in talent, so then other factors come into play. Not only will Clemson be at home in Death Valley, I think their offensive scheme gives them the edge. Clemson Takes it 31-28.
Chris: Hold on a minute there Dez. Clemson and Dabo Swinney have had a history of losing big in big games. I don't think it changes here. Do you really expect them to stop Gurshall, Aaron Murray, Malcolm Mitchell and Chris Conley? Georgia wins big 42-24.
Kirk: Chris, we can talk about offensive weapons all day long. Have you forgotten about Tajh Boyd, Sammy Watkins, and Charone Peake? What about Clemson's own two-headed monster, Roderick McDowell and D.J. Howard? This game will be won on defense, and I think Clemson has the better one in this matchup. Tigers win 35-31.
Lee: Why do I have to go last? You guys are taking the words right out of my mouth! We've all established that these are two evenly matched teams with GREAT offenses. But what we've failed to realize is that Clemson wants to run the ball. I'm sorry, Kirk, but McDowell and Howard don't scare me. The Tigers' playbook is not designed for passing. It'll still be a shootout, but
Georgia wins in double overtime, 49-42. (Puts on Uga head) (Fans Boo)

Chris:
Well, that's all we've got. SportsCenter is up next, and we'll see you next week.

Hey thanks man, your dynasty is actually one of the ones that gave the inspiration to start this up. The teambuilder team I downloaded had SSU at 55 ovr with a 57 ovr offense and 57 ovr defense, although I have no idea why the ratings are so low as most of the players are near the mid-60s.

Chris' Pick: Texas
Kirk's Pick: Texas
Lee's Pick: BYU

Game of the Week: #15 South Carolina Gamecocks at #9 Georgia Bulldogs
Desmond: Both of these teams are coming off of losses. Georgia will be back in the comfort of the Hedges, and homefield advantage goes a long way in a rivalry game.
Georgia gets a much-needed win, 31-20
Chris: I've got nothing to say. I agree with Desmond on this one 38-17.
Kirk: Call me crazy, but I think I'm getting that upset feeling. I think Georgia is still shaken by that blow-out loss to Clemson. S Car gets the W, 21-14
Lee: The Dawgs' running game got stuffed last week, but they put up 395 yards in the air. South Carolina gave up 383 yards passing to UNC last week, who I'm still not completely sold on. Georgia gets it done 24-17.(Puts on Uga head).

Savannah St. uses triple-option style rushing attack to knock off EMU 38-21
By Cliff Simmons @SB_CliffS on September 7, 2013 at 3:34p
">
Yea, you read that right! Savannah State actually won an FBS game! The Tigers 21 unanswered 4th quarter points, 219 rushing yards and critical defensive takeaways led them to a win over an Eastern Michigan team playing with their backup QB who accounted for 3 turnovers that ultimately cost them the game. "This win was refreshing", Coach Carlisle said about the game. "I kid you not, we practiced 5 days a week during the summer and even had an unofficial 'summer game'. I made sure my team would be FBS ready, and the hard work paid off."
Eastern Michigan dominated the Tiger's defense in the early stages of the game, as True Freshman QB Brandon Bossard picked apart a weak SSU secondary. Despite the turnovers, Bossard still managed to torch the tiger's defense with 215 yards passing. But Savannah State Corner John Wilson came up big in the end, as he picked Bossard and recovered a fumble from him forced by Christian Martinez and secured conference player of the week. Vaughn Cornelia also came up with an interception. Savannah State was not that successful in the air either, as Antonio Bostick threw 2 INT, one on a severely underthrown ball and the other on an ill-timed pass that was jumped after a poor catching attempt. He still looked solid however as he had more completions than incompletions (9 to 8) and 80% of his incompletions were dropped passes. He also threw for a touchdown and had 105 yards passing. The real star of the game, however, was RB Sheldon Barnes, who had 16 carries for 106 yards and 3 TD while averaging 6.6 yards per carry. Bostick also had 40 rushing yards and Alex Simmons had 10 carries for 69 yards plus a TD and averaged 6.9 YPC. Defensively, Jovante Miller had 7 tackles, Patrick Stevenson had 6 and 2 Sacks, and Trevion Ashford had 6 Tackles as well. Receiving was very spread out for the tigers as two players hard two receptions and 4 had 1. Dustin Creel was the leading receiver for the Eagles as he had near 100 yards receiving and 2 TD. Javonti Green was the leading rusher for the Eagles as he had a TD and around 5 YPC. Starter Bronson Hill was very limited due to a great blitzing game plan from DC Corey Barlow.
The Tigers had a nice surprise in the return game, with WR Edward Lackey 4 returns for 148 yards.
"We didn't come in with a triple-option game plan, but we went what they gave us. We weren't really getting done in the air, but the run blocking was great. The triple-option gives you the best chance to win, so we knew we had to stick with that. Our offense adapted and they did a great job of doing so. Our OC, John Eder, is a guy I've worked with for a while, and he called a great game today. Our offense and defense worked as a cohesive unit, and we did a great job of taking
advantage of opportunities, which allowed us to win this game.

Note:I think running the ball was a little too easy in that game. The Run Blocking was just too good. I have always had it on 50, but after that performance, I will be knocking it down to 45. I may also tweak CPU run defense.
