Re: What does the future hold? NFL Simulation League

Path to the Draft

Bethune-Cookman usually isn't known for its football squad. In fact, only one player currently in the NFL is a Bethune-Cookman alumni (Eric Weems, WR-Falcons).

But as of last season the Wildcats have emerged as a powerhouse in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) winning the national championship dethroning former juggernaut North Dakota State. The Wildcats are highly favored to repeat as champions. Two players from that championship team have drawn interest form multiple NFL scouts and have been placed in the first round of almost every mock draft.

Receiver Taani Narcisse is a freak of nature standing 6'1" with an extensive track background including winning the National Title in the 100 meter, a pure speed event. His unofficial 40-yard dash time was recorded at a 4.16... Yes you read that right, a 4.16. That would be the fastest recorded 40 time in combine history. Taani is the #1 ranked WR and is projected as the #3 overall pick. He has above average hands and he tears apart double coverage like nobody I've ever seen. He's the reigning FCS returner of the year as he posted an insane 5 kick return touchdowns last season, two coming in Bethune-Cookman's semi-final matchup against Yale. He's rated as the best player on many draft boards and depending on the team I wouldn't be surprised if he went #1.

Quarterback Craig Jones who is on pace to break a long list of FCS records is the #3 ranked quarterback in the draft and is projected as the 8th pick in the 1st round. He is a dual-threat quarterback and is a defensive coordinators worst nightmare. He can thread the needle when needed and when the pocket breaks down he can use his elusiveness to escape and make positive gains out of thin air. He's a quarterback that can fit in almost any teams game plan as his offense has been switched twice in his tenure at BC.

These Wildcats still have some work to do, in their opener they downed #4 ranked Florida State 40-39 in four overtimes. A failed two-point conversion ended it but Jones and Narcisse hooked up 12 times for 169 yards and 3 scores. That's the biggest win in Bethune-Cookman history by far but I don't think it'll be the last time they'll drop an FBS school as they take on #11 Notre Dame next week.

Game of the Week
Chargers hand Seahawks their second straight loss in dramatic fashion, 20-23

The San Diego Chargers (2-0) hosted the the Seattle Seahawks (0-2) Sunday in a thriller.

Veteran QB Philip Rivers and the Chargers dominated the passing game with 370 yards compared to Seattle's 182.

After a slow start from both squads, a couple field goals and a Seattle touchdown by receiver Doug Baldwin put the Seahawks up 10-6 heading into the half.

The second half started with a boom with an 85 yard kick return from Chargers cornerback Brandon Boykin. On the very next play backup running back Branden Oliver punched it in for a touchdown to give the Chargers the lead at 13-10. After a Steven Hauschka 44-yard field goal the game was tied heading into the fourth.

The Chargers went on a drive taking 6 minutes off the clock, resulting in a 1-yard touchdown from third string running back Jackie Battle to put the Chargers up 20-13. The Seahawks didn't waste much time (1:01) to knot the game up at 20 with a 45 yard burst from newly acquired back Steven Jackson.

Rivers started a drive that consisted of 13 plays, and took the clock down to three seconds, giving Chargers kicker David Akers an opportunity to give the Chargers the lead for good. He watched the snap come back, the hold was clean, as his boot hit the ball he turned around almost with certainty that he nailed it.. and he did.

Players of the Game-
SD- QB Phillip Rivers; 25-32, 370 YDS, 0 TD

SEA- HB Steven Jackson; 23 CAR, 77 YDS, 1 TD

Re: What does the future hold? NFL Simulation League

Important Dynasty News;

Hey Guys, so I've really enjoyed this dynasty so far and I hope you also have. The reason for this post is for how the layout will be from now on.

To get this dynasty sped up, instead of going week by week, I will be posting after every 4 weeks with power rankings, league standings, big news regarding teams or players, draft stories, or just any story that I feel should be posted.

Let me know what you guys think about this because if you'd rather me go week by week I'll continue to do so, I just feel that it's slow. I'm open to any suggestions that you guys have, just let me know!

Re: What does the future hold? NFL Simulation League

There are times in this league where players become better known than the teams they play for... This one of those times.. It's officially..

Due to the season-ending injury to Browns quarterback Nick Foles, Cleveland signed free agent quarterback Tim Tebow. Tebow said this in a press conference earlier today:

"I feel blessed to be given another chance to prove myself in this league. I intend to silence my critics and to make Cleveland my home. I'd like to thank the Browns organization for this great opportunity."

Tebow is likely to be thrown into the starting role this week. This could possibly be a good thing as previous starter Nick Foles who the Browns acquired earlier this season via trade has thrown only four touchdowns compared to twelve interceptions as Cleveland (0-9) has yet to win a game this season.
