Re: Teamwork, a Tradition | Navy Midshipmen Dynasty
Navy Fights Their Way Back to a 38-35 Victory against the Falcons
Air Force traveled to Maryland to take on service academy rival, Navy. The Midshipmen are sitting at 2-1 on the season while Air Force sits at 4-1. A lot of cadets sat in the stand in their uniforms to cheer on their Naval comrades as they get ready to start the game. Navy won the toss but decided to kick off just so the defensive coordinator can gauge the Falcons running attack. The Falcons took the field and were led by quarterback, Nate Romine. First play of the game the Falcons B-back, Shayne Davern gashed the Navy defense was a 40 yard gain and was tripped up. If it wasn't for that tackle Navy is down 7-0. Next play Romine takes the snap on a speed option and found a lane and cut up field for a huge run. 3rd play of the drive and Navy looked tired. The Falcons came out in the wingbone and handed it off to Jacobi Owens who scored on a 28 yard TD run. Air Force drove the ball 74 yards in just three plays. You could see the Navy sideline trying to figure out how to stop the attack already. Navy took the field for their first possession. Tago Smith took the snap and handed it off to B-back, Chris Swain who gashed the Falcon defense for a 15 yard run. That brought the crowd back into the game a little bit. Navy put together some good runs and was able to score on a 24 yard run by back-up B-back, Quentin Ezell. You already knew it was going to be a game where defense was nonexistent. Air Force was able to put together another touchdown scoring drive to make the game 14-7. Navy's next possession, Smith throws a pick six to make the game 21-7 in the Falcon's. The crowd chanting, "Keenan, Keenan, Keenan". Smith sat down on the bench with his head down. Next possession the Midshipmen were able to score on a 50 yard run on a speed sweep by A-back, Dishan Romine who just refused to go down as he broke 4 tackles on his way to the endzone. 21-14 was now the score. On the next possession bad luck struck their offense as Jacobi Owens got injured and it was reported that he wouldn't be able to return. Navy felt confident now and came back on the field with a lot of trash talk. They were able to stop the Falcons on consecutive drives. It was a slow rest of the first half as the Midshipmen kicked a FG to go into the half down 21-17.
Coming out of halftime the Midshipmen received the ball. The drive only took one minute as A-back, Debrandon Sanders scored from 34 yards out on a pitch from the Triple Option to give Navy their first lead of the game, 24-21. Air Force got the ball back and Nate Romine who has been tough to stop all game was doing what he had been doing all game. The Falcons were driving down the field on multiple big runs from Romine. But the endzone only being 25 yards away the Falcons pop a triple option, the Midshipmen defense was ready and had the option played to perfection Romine pitched it but took a massive hit which caused the pitch to turn into a fumble, Navy line backer, Tyler Goble scooped it up and returned it for 75 yards to extend Navy's lead, 31-21. Momentum was clearly in the Midshipmen's favor as they stopped the Falcons on their next drive. The Midshipmen ran a midline Iso where Smith kept the ball, bounced outside and was running down the sideline for a 27 yard TD run to increase the lead 38-21. Multiple teammates went to congratulate Smith. Air Force was able to score with five seconds left in the 3rd to put the score 38-28. It was a slow 4th quarter as both teams weren't able to do anything. But with 1:11 seconds left in the game, Romine hit Jalen Robinette on a deep streak for a 54 yard TD pass to put the score at 38-35. The Falcons lined up for an onside kick but failed to get it. This gives Navy the advantage for the trophy and it was a solid win for Coach Moore, and Tago Smith.

Ole Miss Obliterates Auburn in Jordan-Hare stadium 45-3.
Ole Miss went into Jordan-Hare Stadium and decimated the Tigers after coming off of a 23-13 loss to Alabama the following week. Auburn's defense couldn't stop anything. Ole Miss did whatever they wanted to Auburn as they ran the ball for 276 yards and threw it for 204 yards. Auburn ran the ball for 199 yards but managed only 5 completions out of 21 attempts and throwing two interceptions. That's only a 23% completion rate and you're not going to win the game with stats like that.
Texas Drop 2 Straight
Texas loses to Iowa State drops two games in a row. Texas after beating Ole Miss in week 3 you would think they would be trending upwards. Wrong, they lost 2 straight, one to Kansas State and now to Iowa State.

Week 7 Preview.
VS
Navy Travels to Durham, North Carolina to take on the Duke Blue Devils. Duke is sitting at 2-3 on the season whereas the Midshipmen sit at 3-1. The Midshipmen rushing attack is led by Chris Swain and he looks to continue to be the go guy for the Midshipmen. Duke's defense defense is ranked #91 in the NCAA and the Midshipmen look to take advantage of that in week 7.
Re: Teamwork, a Tradition | Navy Midshipmen Dynasty
Duke steals win from Navy in OT, 26-23.
The Midshipmen let a game slip away from them in Durham. The Midshipmen had a 20-10 lead in the 4th quarter and then the defense collapsed for the Midshipmen. The defense gave up a field goal and then gave up a long drive for the game tying g touchdown. Both teams exchanged field goals in overtime but the Blue Devils defense was able to make a big stop to seal the game for them.
