What's at stake in this game? To the victor goes a division crown. The loser will need the defeat of a divisional rival to progress into the playoffs. This is what the Rams' up-and-down regular season has come down to. They have beaten superior foes and lost to inferior ones. And now it's time to fish or cut bait. **** or get off the pot. Yes, if the Seahawks lose in Kansas City on Sunday night, the Rams can claim the NFC West title for the first time since 2003 regardless of the outcome of this game. But that is not how they want to make it to the playoffs. They control their destiny,

So take this world and shake it
Come squeeze and suck the day
Come carpe diem, baby

Seize the effin day.

Re: California Dreamin'

Eliminated: Gurley Fumbles Away A Crown

Through the first 15 games of the regular season, and through four quarters of regulation play vs. the Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley did not put the ball on the ground. But in the first series of an overtime struggle that each team wanted with equal determination, with LA in field goal range, Gurley lost the handle on the pigskin, which was recovered by the Eagles. Philadelphia then drove to a game-ending touchdown, becoming the NFC East champions for the first time since 2013 and turning the Rams into the biggest Kansas City Chiefs fans on the face of the planet.

As many points were scored in the fourth quarter as were in the first three preceding it. The Rams drew first blood and held a 14-10 lead after three frames. Philadelphia took its first lead with 12:51 to go in regulation and held it until Pharoh Cooper hauled in a 55 yard pass from Sean Mannion with the clock down to 3:43. The Los Angeles defense, prone to late failures all season, succumbed to another one when it allowed Jordan Matthews to score on a 9 yard reception with only 44 ticks on the scoreboard. Defeat appeared imminent, but some clutch pitch and catch drew the Rams into field goal range and Greg Zuerlein forced overtime with a 47 yard boot. LA won the overtime coin toss, chose to receive, and seemed to be on its way to at least a go-ahead field goal when disaster struck.

Afterword, the players and coaches gathered at the team facility to watch the Seattle-Kansas City game. The mood became somber as the Seahawks- a team which the Rams had shattered on opening day, a team that had been swept by the 49ers- proceeded to dismantle the Chiefs, seizing a NFC West crown that could have belonged to the Rams. Gurley wept, and was consoled by his teammates. And so we “wait ‘til next year".

Leonard Fournette pat Ryan Anderson on the head after moving the chains.

Billy Brown’s 5 yard TD reception gave the Rams a 7-0 first quarter lead.

Dorial Green-Beckham splits a pair of defenders as he scores Philly’s first touchdown.

Todd Gurley wasn’t the only Ram who lost a fumble.

Anderson beats Aaron Donald to a sack of Carson Wentz.

After Pharoh Cooper’s 55 yard TD catch, the Rams only needed to hold on for 3 minutes and 43 seconds to win their first division title since 2003.

Xavier Coleman’s dive was a bit off, and the Rams were down by 3 with 44 seconds left.

Gurley’s only fumble of the 2018 season cost the Rams a playoff berth.

Re: California Dreamin'

Man, that's a tough way to go out. Not a single fumble all season long and then he puts the bean on the green in overtime?!? That's bad timing Todd Gurley!
