This looks good man...Great presentation and congrats on the first win. That one had to be a nail-biter.

Thanks man, you don't know how much that means. You were one of the main inspirations for me to give this a whirl. But yes quite the first win indeed. I'm almost positive I would have lost if I wouldn't have converted that third down late in the game. Sticking with Stehling was the right call, he could not have performed any better.

Just a reminder. I'm going on vacation tomorrow and I work all day today. I should at least get in the around the NCAA update and FAU preview, but I doubt I'll be able to get around to the game itself.

Great win over a rival that was highly ranked. Hope things stay on the upward swing for the Owls

Nice win, though I'm upset about it. . Hopefully Rice can win some more and Houston can rebound.

Thanks for checking in man, I'm a huge fan of your Grambling State dynasty. So cool to see you repping your boys like that. I almost did a dynasty with my favorite team (Appalachian State).

Hahah I'm still I shocked I won, I was thinking this was gonna be a dreadful year where I would maybeeeee pull out 2-3 wins but not much more. But after this game I have hopes I can scrape together 6-7 wins. I have to win the next one (FAU) if I want a chance of doing that. I just played a flawless game on offense. But Houston's team overall www only like an 81, and I'm like a 74 so not a huge difference tbh.

Thanks so much for checking in man.

I get home from vacation tomorrow. But I have all of 1.5 days to pack all my stuff up and get every thing together before I move back to school on Monday. I really want to get in another game before I head to school, and I'll do every thing I can to make that happen but I still can't make any promises.

Re: The Greatest Story Ever Told in Texas | The Story of the Rice Owls

OWLS SCORE TWO COMMITTMENTS FOLLOWING WIN

Houston (TX) -- It was a weekend of many firsts for Rice Head Coach Armanti Edwards. Following his first victory as a collegiate head coach, Edwards was able to score his first two commitments on the recruiting trail.

Fullback Chris Vandermeulen and Offensive Tackle Eric Taylor both pledged to the Owls on Monday afternoon. We've included more information on the two players below.

OFFENSIVE TACKLE: ERIC TAYLOR - 2*
Hailing from Azle, TX, Eric Taylor is a gigantic man. Standing at 6'4" and weighing in at 329 lbs. Taylor has the size to be a dominant player at the next level. Taylor is still very raw especially as a pass blocker, and he knows he has a long ways to go. Don't expect him to see many reps his first year or two in Houston, but the Rice coaching staff firmly believes he can be developed into a very good OT at the FBS level. Taylor selected the Owls over offers from Tulane and Houston.

FULLBACK/POWER BACK: CHRIS VANDERMEULEN - 1*
Chris Vandermeulen is another in-state product that was sold by new Rice Head Coach Armanti Edwards. While he is tabbed as a fullback, Coach Edwards has hinted before that he could see some reps at running back as well. At 6'0", 252 lbs. Vandermeulen is a powerful, strong runner that also has solid hands out of the backfield. He rushed for over 850 yards and six scores as a Junior. Vandermeulen also held offers from Texas State, Houston, SMU and Louisiana Tech.
