Re: All Grown up now. The 2016 Seattle Seahawks

Yeah Gurley was a beast. You would think anytime the Seahawks score 30 a win would be a given.

Re: All Grown up now. The 2016 Seattle Seahawks

Week 3 Preview

Seahawks and Niners renew their rivalry this Sunday at CenturyLink Field

Seattle - It wasn't that long ago that the Seahawks and 49ers were the hottest rivalry going in the NFL. Things have shifted dramatically, as the Niners have fallen hard in the last two seasons, and the Seahawks have taken the last five games in the series including the 2013 NFC Championship. Seattle will be heavy favorites again in this one as the Niners are in the middle of a transition period with new coach Chip Kelly. Seattle will be frothing at the mouth to avenge last weeks loss, being at home will help, as the Seahawks have not lost to San Francisco at CenturyLink Field since 2011. The game kicks off this Sunday at 1:05pm PST

Week 3 Power Rankings

Two NFC West powers took a tumble out of the top 5 this week as the Seahawks and Cardinals both suffered losses to lower ranked teams. Both teams have easy matchups this week that should get them back on track. Early surprises see the Oakland Raiders in the top 5, and the defending champion Broncos tumbling out of the top 20 after an 0-2 start.

Re: All Grown up now. The 2016 Seattle Seahawks

Seahawks get back on track with win over Niners

Seattle - Russell Wilson threw for three touchdowns, and Thomas Rawls chipped in 119 yards on the ground as the Seahawks were able to get back in the win column with a 30-13 victory over the 49ers on Sunday. Seattle caught their groove in the second quarter after coming out of the gates sluggish. A missed extra point allowed San Francisco to grab the lead in the quarter, but Russell Wilson connected with Jermaine Kearse for a 63 yard strike later on that gave Seattle the lead for good. In the second half the Seahawks were able to pound Thomas Rawls into the 49er defense. Wearing them down and controlling the clock until the end, as the defense stepped up to only allow 3 second half points. Seattle is now 2-1 and will be heading east to take on the New York Jets next Sunday at MetLife Stadium. The game will kick off early at 10:00 am PST.

Cowboys injuries pile up as Ezekiel Elliott suffers broken hand

Another week, and another injury to a key offensive piece. Ezekiel Elliott left Dallas' win late over Chicago with what was determined to be a broken hand. Elliott was having the best game of his young career up to that point rushing for 96 yards, and helping ease the pressure off of fellow rookie Dak Prescott. It will now be up to Alfred Morris to shoulder the load for the Cowboys as they try to press on until their guys are healthy.

Week 4 Preview

Seahawks head to MetLife stadium for inter-conference showdown with Jets

East Rutherford - The Seattle Seahawks make their first cross country trip of the season as they head to the scene of their Superbowl 48 triumph MetLife stadium, to take on the Jets. This is a Jets team that looks a little different than prior years, boasting a high flying offense with wide receiver Brandon Marshall, and a rejuvenated Ryan Fitzpatrick getting him the ball. Meanwhile on defense, the Jets have been awful this season under supposed guru Todd Bowles giving up a whopping 41.6 points per game through the first three games. Russell Wilson has started off this season red hot throwing 8 touchdowns to just 1 interception, and will be looking to continue that success in this one. Kickoff is Sunday at 10:00 am PST.

Week 4 Power Rankings

The Arizona Cardinals continue to plummet in this weeks rankings, as now sitting at 0-3, one should question if even a team this talented can get it turned around this season. Arizona has had a tough schedule no doubt facing the Patriots, and traveling to Buffalo, but starting 0-2 at home wasn't a good omen. Arizona does have the benefit of not having played a divison game yet this year. So a two game defecit is not insurmountable this early in the year, but they will need to turn it around now if they want to have a successful season in 2016.

Re: All Grown up now. The 2016 Seattle Seahawks

Seattle annihilates Jets 55-6 on the road

East Rutherford - MetLife stadium is becoming like a second home for the Seahawks. This time turning in their best performance at this venue yet as they overcame a shaky start by Russell Wilson, to put up an insane fifty-two unanswered points to blow out the New York Jets. New York came in with one of the worst defenses in the league, and after a shaky first few drives that resulted in two Russell Wilson interceptions, the team came alive mid-way through the second quarter and never looked back. After it was all said and done the Hawks racked up 579 yards of total offense, and Russell Wilson added four more touchdowns. Giving him 12 through the first four games of the season, putting him on pace to shatter the franchise record. Meanwhile on defense Seattle was able to hold New York out of the end zone, and after starter Ryan Fitzpatrick was knocked out of the game, the Jets really had no shot with Geno Smith being thrown into the fire. Seattle didnt come out of the game unscathed though as Kam Chancellor and Thomas Rawls both suffered injuries. Kam's broken collarbone being the most serious one. Seattle will need their safety depth to play a big role over the next couple of weeks as he heals up. Seattle now has an early bye week coming next week before returning home to face the Atlanta Falcons at 1:00 pm Oct 16th at CenturyLink Field.

Chiefs, Patriots look like class of AFC after undefeated starts

The two teams met in the divisional round last year, and early on in the season it looks like their paths will need to cross again at some point. Both teams are now 4-0 and coming off of impressive wins against other AFC contenders. New England now gets a date with the Cleveland Browns as they look to extend to 5-0 while Kansas City will enjoy a bye this week.
