Dolphin Expansion: NFL Head Coach 09 Dynasty

Unfortunately, my last dynasty game went corrupt, so starting anew with a concept I read about on the forum here. Expansion team. Cut everybody. No FAs til after the draft. Able to draft whomever. But has the challenge of poor talent and huge cap penalties. So here we go. Using default roster, Goody's sliders, modified Army run and Patriots pressure playbooks.

Without further adieu, the NFL commissioner anounced today the 32nd team in the league. A rebranding of the Miami Dolphins, whom had been sold early in the 2000s. Back in 2003, the team had acquired too many penalties in its time and found no other buyers than the league itself. Seeing a current lack of fan support from the city the league had stated that they will hold all properties and identidies of the Dolphins til such time a new owner comes along, while in the meantime, all current players are to be partially released of their contracts and are of such free agents. Upon signing with other teams, those contracts are then of the new teams payments, and those unsigned will get paid according to the previous contract until terms are up or bought by a new team. At any such time a new owner comes along they must pay back the debt, that had belonged to the Dolphins.

Back to current time, the NFL had announced that Mr. Chris Condon was the new acting owner and coach of the Dolphins. Mr. Condon had former head coaching experience in high school. Bring his Holy Trinity Trojans to 4 consecutive Minnesota state 1-A titles upon his start. Most players of his on both sides of the ball were able to find success in college, hinting at his ability to develop all players. When asked how or why he had acquired an NFL team, he stated, why? I love football. Who doesn't love a Cinderella story and the ability to control a team in the palm of your hands. As for how, hard work, dedication, and a lot of luck from casinos and scratch offs.

Noted for his quick one liners, his ability to have such a grasp of the game of football, and his general like tendancies while coaching, and a granted number 1 overall pick in the next draft, his future holds unlimited possibilities.

Re: Dolphin Expansion: NFL Head Coach 09 Dynasty

New details emerged from the commissioner today. He has allowed the dolphins to "draft" 5 unprotected players from any team. Allowing them to have a start of their rebooted franchise.

In similar news, coming out of retirement is RE Jason Taylor. He had said Miami is my home, I would love to play their again. Signing a 3 yr deal worth 45 million. Probably bringing him to his second and probably final retirement.

For the drafted players, the dolphins will build around: Joey Porter, LOLB of the Steelers. Ronnie Brown, RB of the cowboys. Samson Satele, C of the Jets. Reagan Mauia, FB of the Chargers. And finally Vonnie Holliday, DT of the Chiefs.

Upon meeting with the commissioner, current contract penalties come to just under 25 million. So that's a lot to make up for, but going forward, should be done within the next couple of years.

Draft

With the number 1 overall pick, the dolphins weren't sure of where to go. QB, Lt, defense? Going with Jake Long, LT. The team starts their rebuild on the line. No more picks til the second, coach Condon stunningly trades up to pick number 6 and takes QB Matt Ryan. First draft in the league and the coach is showing he loves to wheel and deal. With the trade up, no more picks are taken on day 1. Enter day two. This day was loaded with trades. The coach had a nickname back at his highschool. It was Mr. Practical. Somehow, practically is showing you can trade and come out a winner. Round 3 has Harry Douglas, WR. Round 4 had picks Athya Rubin DT, Durant Brooks P, and Mike Peterson TE. Rounds 6 and 7 had Tony Bake RE, Andrew Crummey RG, Jeremy Leman MLB, Adam Kraus LG, and David Vobora LOLB. This man turned 7 picks this and next year each, into 11 picks this year and 9 picks next year. Talk about a tradeapaloosa. I don't think there has ever been such an exotic display of coaching masterpiece on draft day. Hopefully the run of good luck continues into the season.
