Re: Bard's Coaching Career

Week 3:

GameDay - Stephen Tulloch announced in a pre-game interview that he and the Lions have agreed on the rumored extension. WHAT A START! 1-4 40 YDS INT for Stafford to start, Packers then get an 82 YD rush! PICK 6 IN THE END-ZONE! Lions ball! The Packers are laughing at the first two teams we played...they strike first on yet another large run by Lacy for a TD on a 72 yard run. This is a bit of a disaster, after an 0-3 start by the back-up QB, he launches a 61 yard pass to Randall Cobb...14-0 Packers. Marching down the field, 60+ yards Lions on the 7 yard line, :08 seconds remain...SECOND PICK BY STAFFORD! First half ends 0-14 Packers. Vick appears to be warming up and will be debuting in the 3rd, bold move by Coach Allen! ANSAH! Lions kick to the Packers, they start at the 22, Ansah attacks, causes a fumble, and recovers! Vick gets his first completion...and we fumble on the one yard line...and the Packers recover...*sigh*...We get the ball back on a turnover, and Vick goes to town with close to 80 yards of passing, and Riddick with a 1 yard rush for the TD! 7-14! Another turnover! With :05 seconds remaining in the 3rd quarter the Lions have the ball! Manziel comes in, goes 2-3 24 yards...then a pick for a TD. This one looks over for your Lions. Stafford tried his best, but with the offense dropping three straight open passes, the Lions have given up. Stafford attempted to run on 4th and 10, and made it 9 yards. Packers ball, and game over as they run out the clock.

Re: Bard's Coaching Career

Detroit - The Lions have been in contact with many players on their squad trying to come to long-term deals. After a bit of falling out, it looks like the Lions and Darius Slay have agreed upon an extension of 4 years and 52 million dollars. In other news after the injury to Golden Tate III, Coach Allen has decided to bench him for week 4, in hopes he will be good to go for week 5.

Re: Bard's Coaching Career

Week 4:

GameDay - This game is an interesting one for our Detroit Lions. We came out looking great on defense in the first two weeks, and our offense looked pretty solid as well. Both took a bad shot last week, as we lost in Green Bay. Great start by the Lions defense, they took on Cutler and the Bears, and the Bears missed the field goal! And just like that, the Lions are leading to open the second quarter in our first drive! Riddick with a 6 yard rush, after a 5/5 for 45 yard session by Stafford. Cutler to Jeffrey for his first TD of the season, in man-to-man there was zero chance on that bomb...and so close to a sack too...bummer. Big run by your Lions ends with a pick 6, Bears ball, 7-7 game, ~3 minutes left in the half. With seconds remaining the Bears take the lead, luckily your Lions start with the ball to open the second half. Stafford's night is over again. 2 INT and a fumble. The Lions are tanking again. Let up a 38 yard rush for another TD. 7-21 Bears. Just not meant to be. Vick now with a pick 6, and Manziel will be seen in the 4th...the Lions need to figure out their QB situation now more than ever. 7-31 Bears. I really am not understanding this game right now. Johnny's first pass, the receiver bats it, and gets picked off...this game is not meant for us right now. At least we did not fully roll over, Manziel to Pettigrew for a TD with :30 seconds remaining.

1st Quarter: 0-0
2nd Quarter: 7-14
3rd Quarter: 0-10
4th Quarter: 8-7
Final Score: 15-31 Bears

Scoring Plays:

- Riddick 6 YD Rush

- Manziel to Pettigrew 27 YD TD

- Manziel 2 PT Conversion Rush

Player Highlights:

- Stafford 11/16 - 124 YDS - 2 INT

- Manziel 7/13 - 119 YDS - TD - 2 INT

- Vick 1/4 - 4 YDS - INT

- Riddick 10 ATT - 22 YDS - TD

- Pettigrew 6 REC - 101 YDS - TD

- Fuller 4 REC - 51 YDS

- Jones 4 REC - 59 YDS

- Kerley 4 REC - 33 YDS

*Very disappointing game. Felt like everything was being taken away by the 5 interceptions. Only one was truly legitimate I feel, but that is how this game works some times. 2-2 now, and have to get back on the grind, it really fell apart in the second half with four picks.
