For Week 15 in this dynasty, I'm just going to present the games and then the results, then do my normal "weekly" stuff for conference championship week. No point in doing it twice for 5 games!

Re: Road to Redemption: Coach Jeff Callahan and the Colorado Buffaloes (NCAA 14/XBOX
ESPN Championship Drive Conference Championship Week, 2013 Note: Championship Drive uses the BCS rankings. Good evening and welcome to the final Championship Drive of the season. Tonight, we will take you through each of the conference championship games which will be taking place this week and analyze each one. Some of these games have significant BCS implications, and we will also be talking about who we believe will end up playing for the BCS National Championship. First, let’s discuss the teams that have already won their conference championship: Outright Conference Champions Big 12 Champion 5 Oklahoma (10–2) The Oklahoma Sooners have now won their ninth Big 12 Championship under head coach Bob Stoops. The Sooners clinched the title this year with an 8–1 conference record, losing only to TCU by a field goal margin. With Oklahoma ranked No. 5 in the BCS standings, it seems that the only way the Sooners can compete for the national title is if Alabama loses to Auburn, Boise State loses to Fresno State and Ohio State loses to Illinois. If all of that were to happen, Oklahoma would likely face Notre Dame, who beat them 34–13 in September. Sun Belt Champion Troy (8–4) The Troy Trojans have won the Sun Belt Conference with a 7–1 conference record. 24 UL Lafayette also went 7–1 in the Sun Belt, but the Trojans beat the Ragin’ Cajuns 35–20 at home. The conference title is a huge step up for head coach Larry Blakeney: the Trojans went 5–7 last year. Conference Championship Games Conference USA Championship Game UTEP (6–6) vs. Western Kentucky (9–3) The Conference USA Eastern Division was very strong this year. Four teams (Western Kentucky, FIU, Marshall and Florida Atlantic) all went 9–3. Of those, Western Kentucky and FIU both went 7–1 in conference play, and the Hilltoppers had the 28–14 head-to-head win over the Golden Panthers. Meanwhile, the UTEP Miners emerged on top of a dreadful Western Division. The Miners snuck through with a 4–4 conference record. The Hilltoppers reach the conference title game under first-year head coach Bobby Petrino, and like any good Petrino team, the offense has been clicking. Count on the Hilltoppers to come out on top. MAC Championship Game Northern Illinois (8–4) vs. Ohio (10–2) The Northern Illinois Huskies, the reigning MAC Champions, have returned to the conference title game despite an underwhelming follow-up to last year’s Orange Bowl season. The Huskies started with three straight losses under first-year head coach Rod Carey, who was promoted from offensive coordinator. Since then, they have only lost once – to Eastern Michigan. Meanwhile, the Ohio Bobcats have rolled to an 8–1 conference record, with only Buffalo stopping them among MAC opponents. Under experienced head coach Frank Solich, you can expect the Bobcats to win their first MAC title. American Athletic Championship Game SMU (6–6) vs. 14 Cincinnati (11–1) Over in the American Athletic Conference, we may find our most unbalanced title game of all. The SMU Mustangs stumble into this game at .500, whereas the Cincinnati Bearcats charge in with legitimate hopes of making a BCS bowl. The 11–1 Bearcats, under first-year head coach Tommy Tuberville, have had an impressive season which included a win over Top 25 Illinois. Count on them to continue the march with a dominant win here. Mountain West Championship Game 17 Fresno State (10–2) vs. 2 Boise State (12–0) Alas, we have our Group of Five title game with the most BCS implications. Boise State stands on the cusp of history as potentially the first non-power conference team to make the BCS National Championship Game. Set to spoil this opportunity are the Fresno State Bulldogs, who have won nine games in a row. The Broncos beat the Bulldogs 42–21 early in the season, but Fresno State has looked like a much different team since that loss. The Bulldogs roll into this game having absolutely smoked their last five opponents. However, it is tough to see Boise State head coach Chris Petersen and his team let this golden opportunity slip through their fingertips. Expect the Broncos to down the Bulldogs in a classic. Pac-12 Championship Game USC (8–4) vs. 12 Oregon State (9–3) After a decade of being overshadowed by in-state rival Oregon, head coach Mike Riley and the Oregon State Beavers have broken through in the Pac-12 North. The Beavers stand on the cusp of 10 wins – something Riley has achieved only once – and a Rose Bowl appearance, which would be the Beavers’ first in almost 50 years. Standing in their way are the USC Trojans, who have finally made the conference title game under head coach Lane Kiffin. An embarrassing loss to Colorado aside, the Trojans have played very well late in the season – and that included a 31–17 win over the Beavers. Like that game, this title game will be played in the Coliseum thanks to USC’s better conference record. That home field advantage will likely make the difference yet again as the Trojans assert their place atop the Pac-12. ACC Championship Game 13 Clemson (8–4) vs. 16 Georgia Tech (9–3) No team has rebounded stronger and better this season than the Clemson Tigers. After a 1–4 start, many Tiger fans were calling for head coach Dabo Swinney to be axed. Since then, the Tigers have rattled off seven straight wins, including one over their ACC Championship Game opponents, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. That 21–14 win in Death Valley was as gritty as it gets, but the outcome may be different on a neutral field. The Clemson defense has stopped the Tech triple option before, but this Georgia Tech defense is among the finest fielded under head coach Paul Johnson. Expect the Yellow Jackets to stamp their ticket to the Orange Bowl by getting their revenge against the Tigers. Big Ten Championship Game 20 Illinois (9–3) vs. 4 Ohio State (11–1) Since a shocking 5-point loss to Michigan State, Urban Meyer’s Ohio State Buckeyes have been dominant. Their three-win crescendo to close the regular season started with a 24-point win over Illinois and ended with a two-touchdown victory over 10-win Michigan. Illinois has had an impressive season, but comes into this game having lost two of their last three games. The lone victory in that stretch was a field goal win over lowly Purdue. Still, the Fighting Illini are ranked in the Top 25. That means that if Ohio State can muster another whipping against them, it might be enough to propel the Buckeyes above Notre Dame. That matters if EITHER Alabama or Boise State lose. If both of those teams lose and the Buckeyes win, they are in the title game. SEC Championship Game 9 Georgia (10–2) vs. 1 Alabama (12–0) Finally, we have the rematch. Last season’s showdown in the Georgia Dome between this two teams was a battle for a berth in the BCS title game. This year, the stakes aren’t quite as high for the Bulldogs. Upset losses to Tennessee and Auburn prevented Georgia from contending for the national championship, but didn’t stop them from winning their third straight SEC East title. Unfortunately for them, they just aren’t good enough to beat the team they’re facing. Alabama is No. 1 in the country for a reason. The Crimson Tide are not just the defending back-to-back national champions, they are clearly the best team in the country. They have absolutely slaughtered every team they faced – the closest win was 11 points. This may be the finest team Nick Saban has fielded, and that is saying something. Expect the Tide to seal the deal in Atlanta and enter the title game undefeated. Other Teams to Watch There is only one other team who has a chance to play for it all. With a 27–16 victory over Stanford, Notre Dame reached 11–1 and maintained their spot at No. 3 in the polls. This weekend, the Fighting Irish are certainly rooting for either Alabama or Boise State to fall. However, they also need to be rooting for Illinois to win the Big Ten Championship. With no conference championship game to play, the Irish could easily be jumped by a 12–1 Ohio State. If both Alabama and Boise State lose, the Irish are in regardless. But if only one does, it gets tricky. Still, the Irish have had a phenomenal season and are destined for a BCS bowl berth if not the title game.
