Very very true.. Navy actually sprang a lot of their runs to the outside and their wideouts did a spectacular job blocking, leaving me without much of a chance. I think in times past the games I won came when using one of those heavy defensive back packages such as the nickel and dime defenses. Durkin being a defensive specialist certainly means nothing when facing the option though!

Yeah I definitely didn't expect this.. I didn't expect to win but I expected a close game and I was wrong. Haven't played the game much in the past year so a bad loss may have just been me working out the rust. Cupcake game next week will definitely help me out in re-learning the game a bit.

Johnson could have a very good year for us. Being a sophomore means that he can have several good years. He's one of those backs who isn't speedy, isn't powerful but is a good pure runner. He can't rely on one superb trait to be fantastic. He can move around and between guys and find the hole and accelerate through. I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do for us.

Perry Hills and Caleb Rowe were at Maryland forever it felt like.. sad part is neither were any good! Hills played well this week but I wouldn't etch his name in stone or anything just yet

I didn't have Navy on the schedule at first either.. it was an FCS team and I thought it would be cool to replace them with an in-state rivalry game. Nice idea, self!

Tough start with the Terps.. I never schedule triple option teams.. If they get it going they're unstoppable! Good luck with the rest of the season, I'll be following.
