Re: Charging up the Bolts (Madden 17, PS4)

WEEK 7

PLAYERS OUT FOR GAME
OAK, WR AMARI COOPER, OUT WITH TORN PECTORAL, OUT FOR ANOTHER 26 WEEKS
LDN, RT JOE BARKSDALE, OUT WITH BROKEN HAND, SHOULD BE ACTIVATED FOR NEXT WEEKS GAME

Not sure where to start with this one. The Good or The Ugly….

We’ll start with the ugly: Phillip Rivers was atrocious today. Three interceptions for Rivers. They happened on back to back to back possessions, two in the first quarter and one in the 2nd quarter.

And that was pretty much it for the ugly…..Now the good….

Melvin. Gordon. Holy cow what a career day for Gordon as he goes down in the history books. 302 rushing yards for Gordon on 24 carries. That’s an average of 12.4 yards per carry. Not to mention four rushing touchdowns. Melvin Gordon single-handedly beat the Oakland Raiders in Oakland. I mean he was just 8 yards shoret of tying the Raiders for total offensive yards!!

If this game doesn’t get Melvin Gordon paid, then I don’t know what he has to do on the field.

Honorable mention: Devron Holly: I keep saying he is going to be our return specialist. Eight punt returns for a total of 165 yards and finally broke away for a touchdown..

Players out for the Game

KC
CB Eric Berry – foot fracture – Out 5 wks
WR Tyreke Hill – torn tricep – Out 13 wks
LT Eric Fisher – partical PCL tear – Out 6 wks
WR Jeremy Maclin – upper arm fracture – Out 5 wks
RB Charcandrick West – quad tear – Out 7 wks

LDN
RT Joe Barksdale – eligible to play this game but was held out for one more week

And so starts the first of a four games on the road for us. We head to Kansas City for a divisional rivalry game. Both teams at 5-1. The Chiefs had the leagues number one offense and we had the leagues number 1 defense and one was going to give.

The Chiefs came in having won 5 games in a row and have scored 30 or more points in 5 of their first 7 games.

While the first half was close, a 10-6 lead for the Black Knights, the Chiefs were able to regain the lead in the third quarter after Alex Smith finds Chris Conley in the back of the endzone.

With 7: 28 left to play London couldn’t punch it in from the one yard line and settles for a field goal. With London’s defense starting to put pressure on Alex Smith forces Kansas City to attempt a field goal. It was almost blocked by Joey Bosa but that did not matter as it was missed.

We get the ball back and drain the clock close to the two minute warning but an incomplete pass on 3rd and 7, we kick a field goal for the 16-13 lead.

Our defense showed up again late when Denzel Perryman forced Alex Smith to the ground and fumbles. We recover. And Melvin Gordon definitely put the game out of reach with a 50 yard touchdown run to seal the deal.

-CB Brandon Flowers (LDN), got hurt late in the game tackling Jamaal Charles. He has an abdominal tear and his status for next week is unknown

WEEK 9

Players Out For Game

CIN
CB William Jackson----foot fracture----Out 1 wk
RB Giovani Bernard----torn bicep----Out 2 wks
CB Adam Jones----torn rotator cuff----IR

London
CB Brandon Flowers----abdominal tear----Out 4 wks

A visit to Cincinnati to face the 3-4 Bengals. Early on this game was about defense. We went up five points on safety when Denzel Perryman shot the gap and sacked Andy Dalton in the endzone.

And it sure looked like our defense was going to have to pull this one out for us. Phillip Rivers wasn’t exactly lighting up the scoreboard. Rivers went 4 for 15 and 50 yards in the first half. Plenty of dropped balls but Bengals with exceptional pass defense. We headed to the locker room down 10-5.

The second is half is where the offense kicked it up a notch. Unfortunately, it wasn’t our offense. The Bengals basically ran up the scoreboard on us and put up 49 points, frustrated the heck out of Rivers and the whole team as Marvin Lewis outcoached Bill Cowher.

Carlos Dunlap had a huge game for the Bengals, 10 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Second year back Zac Brooks racked up 193 yards for the Bengals. Reuben Randle had two touchdown catches. A well balanced game by Cincinnati, while we just played a sloppy like game.

PASSING
P. Rivers (LDN) 19 for 37----237 Yds----2 TD----1 INT

Re: Charging up the Bolts (Madden 17, PS4)

Editors Note:

I have been extremely busy to post anything. I have been playing this season out but I just can't find the time to do write ups for each game.

So, I am going to fast forward to week 17 but before I do, I will give an update around the league and what has been going on. I'm having too much fun playing this franchise, have a slider set that I'm using that I feel is giving me a good variety of games.

So stay tuned.....
