Incredible start to the year, all things considered. You guys almost knocked off LSU, which would have been amazing. Still though, 2-1 to start the year is great. We gotta get this defense right though.

Glad you're using another Louisiana school. If I was to start a new dynasty (never happening), I'd probably roll with either ULM or ULL also. Talk about two forgotten schools.
Thanks for checking in Geezy. Big Bruce wasn't a small guy when we were in college together. Now a days he is really bigger I would say Popeye's and Gumbo.

The Offense has been our saving grace with the Defense giving up so many points. Hopefully that can change as we go into Conference play.

You are right about ULM and ULL. If any other school in the state ever made it to a P5 things would change drastically. The talent in North Louisiana for Tech and ULM along with quick drives to Dallas and Jackson. ULL we all know how talent rich South Louisiana is then add in the Houston area.

Re: #Rise of the WARHAWKS: Gsutiger's UL Monroe Dynasty

As much as it pains me to say this. This thread will come to an end. I just don't have the time to put into it as I would want. The games will still be played. If the followers of this would still like box scores to follow along I'm willing to do such.

2017 Week 7 UL Monroe @ Texas State Recap

1st Conference Win but Major Player lost

The Warhawks faced off against the Texas St Bobcats in their first Sun Belt Conference game of the year. This game would be a tight one from start to finish. A huge 72 yard punt return by Marcus Green would fire up the Warhawk sideline as the score would now be 14-7 Hawks. By the half it would be 17-14 ULM. In the 3rd Quarter ULM QB Garrett Smith would go down with an injury and would not return to the game. Back Up Caleb Evans would come in and finish off the drive with a 39 yard TD pass to WR McCray. With 3:35 left to play in the game the Bobcats would take the lead 28-27 after QB Damian Williams ran into the endzone from 7 yards out. Evans was not to be out done he answered with another scoring drive once again finding McCray for the TD to give the Warhawks the victory.

Good choice here man.

Time shouldn't be a concern only because there is no rush to get these things done. Take as much time as you need. Sometimes it takes me over a week to put a recap together if I have a lot going on.

I've found that the pace of one game per week, sometimes two weeks, keeps me feeling fresh. While also keeping my stick-skills from becoming too "in the zone."
