Jacobs upsets McWilliams in surprise Heisman vote

NEW YORK, NY -- And the winner for the 2019 Heisman Memorial Trophy is....

Not Storm McWilliams Jr.

In a result that shocked many, Colorado's McWilliams Jr. finished second in Heisman behind Alabama running back Josh Jacobs. Jacobs took home 664 first place votes while McWilliams only had 72 first place votes and 404 2nd place votes.

Jacobs rushed for 1,066 yards and 18 touchdowns with six receiving touchdowns. McWilliams did take home the Maxwell, Walter Camp and Davey O'Brien Award.

Many figured McWilliams would not only win the Heisman but run away with it after leading Colorado to a 13-0 record with 41 passing touchdowns and 22 rushing touchdowns. McWilliams led the nation in passer rating, passing yards, passing touchdowns, yards per completion, yards per carry, rushing touchdowns and rushes of over 20 yards.

McWilliams and Colorado will now turn their focus against Ohio State in the National Championship Game.
