Re: The Rise of Marshall

If you guys want I can post the sliders I use, penalties, auto subs, injury adjustments, etc. I would say this gameplay is as realistic as it’s ever been for me. Just let me know!

Recruiting Update
Recruiting wise, we haven’t gotten a player of 4 or 5 star caliber, and we likely won’t. We have 8 scholarships remaining, and we’re targeting a couple more players. Most of our recruits are 2 stars, mixed with a few 3 stars and 1 stars.

Off Note: I’m going to do a little more detail in between games (interviews, game previews, etc.). I’m going to continue with the game summaries, keeping them short and sweet. Once the regular season ends I’ll post the top 25, conference championship games, and other key things for you guys to see.

Florida International Game Preview
Coach Guy After Fridays Practice
Reporter: “What’s the status for starter Chase Litton? Has he been cleared to play?”
Guy: “Chase won’t play tomorrow. The trainers say he’s doing good, and that he should be good to go for next weeks game. Sophomore Garett Morrell is going to get the start tomorrow.”
Reporter: “How will the game plan change considering Morrell is starting and Litton isn’t?”
Guy: “Hopefully it won’t change too much. Garett is a very capable player. We’re just going to go out there and take care of business any way we can.”

True sophomore QB Garett Morrell in practice prior to his 1st career collegiate start.
• Kirk Herbstreit’s Prediction:
24-14, Marshall
Herbstreit: “I think Marshall does enough on offense to get the win at home. The defense does its job and comes up with multiple stops. This could be a close game, however.”

Week 13: Vs Florida International
Snow filled game for the Herd on Senior Day

With starting QB Chase Litton out with a concussion, backup Garett Morrell would go 7/18, 44 yards and 2 int. I benched him midway through the second quarter, bringing in 3rd stringer Jackson White (RS Freshman). Instantly, White provided the spark we needed. He went 10/18, 210 yds and 1 td before receiving a concussion in the 4th quarter.... We managed to tie it up at 35 all, sending it to overtime. They would end up winning by 3 in OT. A very disappointing loss.
Final: 41-38, FIU
Record: 6-5
Next Week: @ 17Western Kentucky

Week 14: @ 20Western Kentucky
Herd spoil WKU’s Senior Day

With Chase Litton back under center, the offense looked more consistent. WKU’s QB Mike White was out with a shoulder injury, which ultimately allowed us to hold them to just 10 points. Their kicker missed 2 FGs, and we won by 7. Solid way to end the regular season. Coach Guy’s 2nd top 25 win.
Final: 17-10, Herd
Record: 7-5
• Stats
Litton: 8/16, 124 yds and 1 int
Pittman: 21 carries for 141 yds and 1 td
Next Week: BYE
