Mr Sir: OC North Texas

2017 projected record: 6-6

Offensive Preview: Sophomore starting QB Mason Fine struggled in his time last season, but has been named the starter once again for this Air Raid offense under Mr. Sir. Also a concern for this offense is the Wr corps with only 3 returning players with targets. But Turner Smiley looks to get the start in the slot.

Southern Miss: OC Billy Jim

2016 record: 7-6

2017 projected record: 7-5

Offensive Preview: Talented Skill players like RB Ito Smith and WR Allenzae Staggers will take some pressure off of first year starting QB Keon Howard, who has some big shoes to fill, replacing Nick Mullens. Howard has been named the starter for now, but if it doesn't work out for him, Kwadra Griggs will be ready to go backing him up. Ito Smith is the for sure starter, but goal line back George Payne looks to steal some reps in the redzone. These backs will be running behind OL Devin Farrior and Ty Pollard who have combined for 40 starts. WR Allenzae Staggers was one of the most underrated receivers last season, and he looks to lead a young receiving corps this season.

Fresno State: DC Joe Burke

2016 record: 1-11

2017 projected record:4-8

Defensive preview:. It appears Fresno’s front seven will be experienced and physically impressive. The Bulldogs return six of their top seven tacklers and four of their top five linebackers. James Bailey and Nela Otukolo are two exciting Sophomore Linebackers that will be signal calling on defense. Stopping the run is a priority for Burke's Defense, but the secondary needs some work with only one returning starter. Some young sophomore and freshman will be stepping into the starting role this season.

Air Force: OC Nick Gonzalez

2016 record: 10-3

2017 record: 4-8

Offensive Preview: Arion Worthman is undefeated as Air Force QB and in the backfield with him is one of the most explosive HB in the nation Tom McVey. But the falcons lose 4 of their 5 starting lineman. Parker Wilson will get the start at the fullback position which is very important wing-t offense. The go to targets at the receiver position this year will be Ronald Cleveland and Tyler Williams. A veteran TE Ryan Reffit also returns.

Army: DC JD Rudie

2016 record: 8-5

2017 projected record: 6-6

Defensive Preview: this very aggressive defense lost some key linebackers and looks to bounce back. Alex Aukerman and Kenneth Brinson look to be the signal callers on defense. The lack of depth at the linebacker position could lead to the defenses downfall. The DBs are very experienced and should be ready to deal with the pass.

Navy: OC Jordan James

2016 record: 9-5

2017 projected record: 6-6

Offensive Preview: This traditional Wing T offense could be as dangerous as ever with QB Zach Abey and FB Chris High leading the way. Junior QB Zach Abey was put in a tough situation Last season and looks to bounce back big this year. The HB depth is very weak with only one returning player with carries, Sr. Darryl Bonner. But at least the backbone of the team returns, Chris High, this FB is as good as they come. And as long as the O Line stays healthy, this Navy backfield should have a stellar year!
